Re: Audacity 2.0.5 installation problem on XP
Please be aware of Windows XP support has ended - Microsoft Windows . This makes it very important you disconnect the internet before turning off your virus checker. Did you ever launch Audacity with Avast! totally switched off? Avast! is a possible cause but it may have multiple processes that you ...

Re: local manual link not working
You still have not said what exactly happens when you click the links to the Manual in the Help Menu. Do you see a warning that the Manual is not installed?

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
I discovered another possible clue, if you are even interested. I think the length of this topic proves that we were trying to help you. I have an app called "LineIn". Its sole function is to take the signal from the input jack (Mic) and send it to the output (speakers or headphone jack)....

Re: Do not hear recording
I appreciate that temp data deleted when I quit Audacity. The temporary data is also deleted if you File > Close, which gives you a fresh, empty project. I'm not sure I understand about Audacity creating a new track underneath the last one vs. keeping them on the same track, but I am also not fully...

Re: Can't playback exported mp3's from Audacity
Read this carefully: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_opening_and_saving_files.html#extensions . If you need to put dots in the MP3 file name, add ".mp3" (without quotes) at the end of the file name before saving. Audacity warns you about this, but you must have ignored the warning...

Re: inconsistencies with mp3s between 32 and 64 bit Win 7 Ul
the good lame version I'm now using is lame 3.99.4. Just to point out for others reading this - very few downloadable builds of lame_enc.dll will work correctly with Audacity other than those recommended on http://lame.buanzo.org/ . However the 3.99.5 build I mentioned should have the necessary fun...

Re: Can't record internet radio station.
Any other suggestions? Steve is not on Windows, so it is not easy for him to help. See my questions to you at http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=242241#p242241 . What is the exact model number of these Bose speakers? It may help if you would post Help > Audio Device Info... as requested....
