Re: local manual link not working
You said the links "did not work". That is meaningless. It could mean there is a flash and an error dialogue. "NOTHING! no warnings or anything" is much more useful. I was reminding you that Microsoft no longer support or deliver security fixes for your operating system. Any time...

Re: How to record using two (2) Rode USB Podcaster mics
Even if you do manage to smash two or more USB microphones into one show, If you talk long enough, they'll start to drift apart in lip sync and since everything is in one sound file, there isn't a thing you can do about it. If the aggregation was smart enough to put each mic in separate channels, a...

Re: Chains for batch processing to AC3 files
I'm using version 2.0.5 of Audacity, and I was wondering if it is possible to batch export to AC3 (with FFMPEG). Now I'm able to export to AC3 per file, but I have a bunch of files which I should process and export to AC3. I don't see any ExportAC3 command in the edit chains dialog though. So does ...

Re: Import and Export Folders
I have been using this fantastic software for years and I am constantly finding new features of Audacity which enhance my audio editing experience. There is just one thing which I find annoying: When I import audio from a particular folder, I wish Audacity would use this same folder for exporting. ...

What text on the "Options..." button would have made you think to click it?

Re: "side-by-side configuration is incorrect" error with 2.0
My impression is that you are very knowledgeable and perhaps some tweaks performed or advanced programs you have installed have caused this. Here is what the Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest contents that come with Audacity should contain: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalo...

Re: Exporting files with larger than 48 kHz sampling rate
Also if you import the 100000 Hz file with no other audio tracks present, it should change the project rate to 100000 Hz if it is not already set to that rate.
