Re: How do I name a track from a batch file.
Your continued suggestion to use keys such as UP arrow and DN arrow makes me think that that you still think I am doing any of this manually. I meant, tell you macro program to use UP and DOWN. I for one don't know exactly what you are trying to do in your script, but if you succeed with scripting ...

Re: recording at 32float/96, does it dither on export to 24b
I'm recording some internet radio, I set it myself to record at a sample rate of 96000, and the default is 32float, on export I select 24bit FLAC / 96000. Does the 32bit float recording use dither when exported at 24bit?, I'm unsure if this is actually a sample rate 'conversion'. It's not a sample ...

Re: import and edit files from itunes
I am having problems importing files from itunes. It does not recognize the file type. I tried to go to File>Create New Version>Create AIFF Version. It says it converted but I still can't import the file. I am trying to import 2 songs from iTunes and splice them together. This should not be a probl...

Re: Audio disappearing as Audacity records
The log says access is denied. I think you will have to persuade the system administrator to set the Audacity temporary folder to a folder in C: that everyone has access to. For example, "C:Audacity recordings in Progress". And generally, setting the Audacity temp folder to C:WindowsTemp i...

Re: Disappearing Labels
The current Audacity version is 2.0.5, but what you describe is not a known problem. after I save the file and export the label track to txt, as I'm interacting with the txt file, I notice that several labels have gone missing. The missing labels are always the longer ones - usually 10+ seconds long...

Re: Cannot oppen .mogg or .ogg files
I'm using Audacity 2.0.5. and I have the ffmpeg installed. I cannot open any file, I just get a message saying I should open it raw when I try to open it normally. When I do try to open it raw, all I get for audio are large, sustaining bleeps. OGG is a container format so it depends what format is ...

Re: YETI Playback Distortion
Thanks. If you get a chance to try 2.0.2 or 2.0.3, it might be useful to know - but I have no more idea than you.Stumprofig wrote:I went back and installed the older of the two... that one works fine! Not sure why, but good enough for me.

As I said, I understand that. "Not working" is what conveys nothing.oldchadders wrote:As I said, "nothing happened", even my 6 y/o grandson understands that!

Re: Audacity locks up when editing
I changed my playback hardware to what it was originally set for which was "sysdefault" and it seems to have solved the problem. Wouldn't sysdefault be pulse if you have not removed it? But there is an annoying issue of a audible 'pop' when I hit play when editing. DC offset: http://manua...
