Re: Removing Mistakes and Merging
I am using 2.1.2 on Window 10 and have been using Audacity to record some guitar pieces I am learning. I'm sure what I am trying to is covered somewhere but I must not know the correct terms for finding them in a search. I am having one problem and need help with how to do one task. I am using a Le...

Re: Export Selected Audio resets the selection
I think you are clicking in the grey background below the track before export, or pressing ENTER when the track has the yellow focus border, thereby deselecting the track and causing there to be no selected audio. If the default Tracks Preference "Select all audio in project, if none selected&q...

Re: Microphone volume slider is setting itself to 0
I'm using an Audio Technics At-LP120-USB. Turntable. It's working fine with my friends computer/audacity currently also. There are no special drivers for that device as far as I am aware. There is a small chance there is a hardware fault with the USB port you are using and you might try a different...

Re: Exclude background music and retain voice
if i look to the left top just left of the music grafic where you can lower or higer the sound or pitch it more to the left or right , there is a text (stereo 44100 ghz 32 bit float) So i think its a stereo channel . There is no guarantee you will be able to cleanly isolate the voice, but see http:...

Re: trying to record 78 rpm records, horrible audio.
I wonder if this turntable actually is a USB turntable, if it has a headphones output as described. If so and it came with the cable missing, it is easy to buy another USB cable and connect it to the computer via USB.

The Lenoxx player is an audio CD player. An external one that doesn't have USB, AFAIK. Oh I see, I forgot Lenoxx made hardware rather than software. So if it's a CD player, and your computer is old enough to have a CD drive, Finder will show you AIFF files for each CD track and you can import the A...

Re: timeline
Perhaps a little dropdown arrow in the Timeline where you chose which track provided the reference time of day for the Timeline? and if you pause during the recording, the numbers on the timeline show a sudden increase at the point where the pause occurred? I guess if you Pause, then we pad with si...

The oldest System Restore Point it is giving me is from yesterday. This problem started a few months ago, so I don't think it will help. Right? Correct. But for future you could consider allocating more space to System Restore so that it can retain more restore points. Right-click on "Computer...
