Re: Tempo adjustment
Beat matching is a feature request. If the pitch of both versions is correct, use Effect > Change Tempo to make the length of one song the same as the other. You may need to make fade ins and fade outs the same length on both songs before using Change Tempo. What is the purpose of mixing the two ver...

Re: Logitech H390 mic automaticly mutes when I hit record
Use the latest Audacity 2.0.5 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Try recording with Skype shut down. You didn't say what version of Windows (see the pink panel above). If you are on Windows 7 or later, try right-clicking over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "...

Re: desperate
I loaded Audacity via NINITE, it did not give any option to reset preferences. Which is the best way to download to get this option ?? Ninite will do "silent" installs using default options. You can download our installer by clicking this link: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacit...

Re: Varying latency during track
I already have the process affinity set to all 4 CPUs. That's not going to help, in fact it could be worse than leaving it on default/auto. As far as I know, Windows defaults to enabling an application to use all processors. So by default Windows would be doing for Audacity what you have Linux (Deb...

Re: Set up and configuration of Audacity in preference
I have looked in the on-line manual. It talks about Preference, the mac, and devices. The example it shows is for a PC, not very helpful The principle is exactly the same, open Device Toolbar and set the output device (second box) to the speakers you are listening to, so "Built-In Audio" ...

Re: Input Rec levels very low
Have you looked at System Preference > Sound and clicked the "Input" tab? Select Soundlower 2 ch. Check that both the input volume and output volume sliders are turned up. Both sliders affect the volume you will record at.
