Re: how do i suppress negative frequencies?
Are you trying to make the audio sound brighter, with more emphasis on higher frequencies? Do you mean negative samples (the bottom half of the Audacity waveform is more prominent than the top half, or the bottom half goes further down than the top half goes up)? Please give as much information as p...

Re: How to tell audacity where ffmpeg 3.2.2 is installed.
I installed FFmpeg, long before even looking at audacity. FFmpeg is actually installed on another drive entirely. What my question is "how does one tell audacity the FFmpeg folder (version 3.2.2) is on drive F:\ffmpeg-3.2.2\bin" ? Also what is this dylib? I have an ffmpeg.exe, but no weir...

Re: Removing Mistakes and Merging
Please post an audio sample . By the way Audacity as shipped does not support ASIO. Any device that is ASIO only won't be seen by Audacity. Thank you Gale! I uploaded a sample. It appears to happen everytime I hit the low E String. I finger pick so I'm hitting it with the pad of my thumb. There is ...

Re: time scale slider improvement to not to change the speed
If there is a feature request you want to make for Transcription Toolbar ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/transcription_toolbar.html ) to change pitch without changing tempo, please make that request, so that we understand what you want. At the moment Transcription Toolbar changes tempo and pitc...

Re: Error while opening sound device (WASAPI)
I disabled surround sound and yeah it says it still has 8 recording channels in audacity. Same with enabled. OK so did you try choosing either option of 8 or 2 recording channels in Audacity? What setup worked with VoiceMeeter sending the audio to Audacity? Did you have to mix down to stereo in Voi...

Re: Patch to export 32 bits in chains
Why are you not willing to upgrade beyond 2.0.6? Allowing Chains to use "Other Uncompressed files" or the 32-bit WAV option that we now have is a popular request, but it won't be applied retrospectively to old versions of Audacity. Would you like us to add a "vote" for you to all...

Re: time scale slider improvement to not to change the speed
What feature did you mean in your original request? If you meant Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift, do you agree that leaving "Initial Tempo Change" and "Final Tempo Change" at 0 (zero) solves your problem? As I said, Transcription Toolbar changes speed as well as pitch. That is wha...

Re: Randomly get "error input" message DURING recording
For as long as I've had audacity, sometimes, randomly, I'll be in the middle of a recording and I'll stop the recording. IF I want to start the recording again, I'll get an error message that no input device was found. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, I am forced to quit and reop...

Re: Recording sounds hollow
I will download the Soundflower app & hope to improve the sound. Soundflower is for routing sound streams on the computer. It is used for recording audio that you hear playing on the computer. It won't improve the quality of your recordings unless there is some serious problem with recording ov...
