Re: Left/Right volume glitch with multiple tracks
What happens if you click at about 2 minutes to right of time 0.0 in "Ocean", hold SHIFT and press HOME on your keyboard to select from there to 0.0, continue to hold SHIFT then hold DOWN arrow to extend the selection down into the other tracks, then Generate > Silence? Did you install Mav...

Re: No playback sound
I'm on a macbook pro, running os 10.9.2. When I download files or record live to audacity i occasionally have no playback sound. Sometimes this is resolved by closing the program, reopening and reloading the file. Currently I am unable to resolve this. I'm using the most current version of Audacity...

Re: Line-In-Record Handy - Dont know what happened
If the recording was intended to be seven hours, the maximum safe project rate in 2.0.5 or earlier is 48000 Hz. See: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/File_Management_Tips#big_project . Do you have any of the expected recording visible in the recovered project? How many AU files are there in the Tem...

Re: Device not getting recognized
If you connected the device after launching Audacity, restart Audacity or do Transport > Rescan Audio Devices. If you are still stuck, follow the steps in the green box "Detecting USB and Firewire devices" here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#flatli...

Re: When I try to record second track, error shows up
And if that does not help, we will need more information about the version of Windows, version of Audacity and about what equipment you are recording with. See the pink panel at the top of this page. If you just connected a USB microphone, or it became disconnected, try Transport > Rescan Audio Devi...

Re: Alignment probem exporting and importing
I have one more question, is there any way we can get audacity tracks individually into Logic for eq mixing etc.? I'm guessing export muliple won't work. As we've said many times there is no known reason that export multiple should not preserve the alignment of each track if you generate silence at...

Re: Alignment probem exporting and importing
True, but only File > Close (leaving Audacity open) is necessary.steve wrote: Close Audacity.
This allows Audacity to clear up the "undo history".

Re: cAN i DELETE UNUSED LANGUAGES TO SAVE DISK SPACE.
I will answer the question directly, anyway in case users with enough disk space want to know if they can save even more disk space. Audacity will warn you on launch if you have 100 MB space or less in the Audacity temporary folder. Basics: Audacity 2.0.5, Windows XP This is probably a generic quest...

Re: 2.0.2 on Vista - Clicking black merge line crashes Audac
The steps are: Open a song or start a new project. Go to the beginning of the track. Click some seconds in the track and drag till the beginning (a yellow marker line will a appear). Go to "generate / silence". It will leave a split line. Click the line and sometimes it crashes. It's very...

Re: Varying latency during track
@bordonbert, if you open the Windows Control Panel then open System then the "Advanced" section, then open the "Performance" settings and click the "Advanced" tab, you can set processor scheduling to adjust for best performance of programs instead of background process...
