Re: Audacity not recording when set "Windows WASAPI"
The message says "Latency Correction". The recording has stalled, so that is what you have to fix. WASAPI loopback recording may not start if there is no input stream. Completely turn off and restart the computer, then play the stream before starting recording. If you don't want to hear th...

Re: deformation in loopback recording
Try changing the Audacity project rate to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz.
Try giving us some information to go on.
Version of Audacity?
Version of Linux?
Make and model number of computer?
Make and model number of sound device?
Exactly what you are recording, in what application?

Re: Unicode Export Problem
Please try to export to some unicode filename, like "б.mp3" (without quotes, it's the second letter in russian). I've got the same popup as skander. I did, using standard export and Export Multiple, on Windows 8.1 (using the on-screen keyboard). You need to use Audacity 2.0.5 from http://...

Re: Can NOT dismiss "Welcome to Audacity!"
My Mac-Mini is a 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo, running OS X 10.5.8. Thanks, that's a shame. Koz could not make the problem happen on an Intel MacBook Pro on 10.5.8, so there is some other variability. Two others with that problem have iMacs. The only other suggestion I have (which I wouldn't blame you if...

Re: Can NOT dismiss "Welcome to Audacity!"
This issue with the Welcome Screen (and the Log window) has been reported with both OS X 10.5.8 and 10.6.8 so it is not solely a Leopard issue. Is the Mac Mini that has the problem a PPC Mac and the 10.6 machine an Intel Mac? As far as we have been told, all the reports are on PPC Mac. Let us know t...

Re: Recording Youtube
Total Recorder's virtual driver device should appear in Audacity's Device Toolbar but it always used to error or crash when recording from it. It is years since I tried it. That said, Audacity can record computer playback using the Windows WASAPI host choice in Device Toolbar. I'll admit I don't und...

Re: Building SWH Plugins on OSX
Unfortunately we can't really help you. We never built the swh plug-ins for OS X, rather we use Ardour's build of them. Ardour stopped distributing the swh plug-ins for OS X because they found them unstable in their application. They told me: many of swh's plugins are unsafe for use on OS X and have...

Re: generate sound from a list of numbers
If you already have a file with amplitude numbers you can try http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=208564#p208564 . The nearest thing Audacity has as a generator is DTMF, unless of course you want to generate individual tones for each note in the sequence. You would have to convert your num...

Re: Upgrading to 2.05
You should generally use only the latest released version of Audacity but If you ever did want to have two different Audacity versions in /Applications, for example the latest release and the latest development build, then double-click the Audacity folder in the .DMG, select and copy all the items, ...
