Re: Undo function is not undoing correctly
I think we are trying our best here. It isn't easy if it doesn't happen for us. You haven't really given us exact steps. We don't know exactly how you get the cursor to the point where you start recording the second track, we don't know exactly what point that is, or what button or menu you use to s...

Re: Sample rate question
The answer is also somewhat different according to your version of Windows. Please see the pink panel at the top of this page. You typically won't be able to find out a sound card's specifcation from the computer manufacturer. They (or the motherboard manufacturer) are likely to have paid a few cent...

Re: Recording with a microphone
I cannot afford a newer version of Windows nor a PC with enough memory to accommodate windows 7 or 8 There are other free options, such as installing a free (lightweight) Linux operating system instead. I tried changing the third window to every option available and there was no response to the mic...

Re: Crackling audio playback - multiple formats and volume l
You guys are making this entirely too complicated....he has his output volume set too high in audacity. Lower the volume next to the speaker in your audacity interface and your crackling will go away. Thanks, but how does that explain people that downgrade to 2.0.3, 2.0.2 or other version and the p...

Re: Undo function is not undoing correctly
Thanks for the video. I tried importing a three minute file, clicking in the track two-thirds along then recording, but I can't reproduce this problem. Have you quit Audacity and rebooted? Have you looked in Audacity > Preferences: Directories to find the Audacity temporary directory and checked tha...

Better late than never, even so. At least we can possibly find that later if you post another question in future.gibby wrote:I'm running Audacity 2.0.5 and Windows 7 (not that you need to know that now).

What happens if you disconnect the BCD 3000 and launch the 2.0.6-alpha? What drivers from http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/BCD3000.aspx are you using for the BCD 3000? If you have 32-bit XP you may be best with the older http://www.behringerdownload.de/B-Control_download/BCD3000-Vista-XP-1.2.0.0...

Re: Recording!!!
as i said in my first post i have windows 7 premium 64bits Sorry, that was what I meant (64-bit or 32-bit). Your sound device must have 64-bit drivers to function correctly - see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Updating_Sound_Device_Drivers . I'm glad you have found an acceptable solution. If you...

Re: Undo function is not undoing correctly
I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Audacity with Reset Preferences ticked and i'm still having the same issue. OK, that would also default your keyboard shortcuts. , would it be possible for me to show you some video footage of what i'm experiencing? Am i able to attach video files to posts here...

Re: Export Multiple
It was clear at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... .html#mute that Mute had to be pressed to kill export, but not clear in a few other places in the Manual.
I made it clearer.
