Re: timeline
I don't think the request is for deep integration into the block file structure, but for the simpler feature Dave described in http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=321340#p321340. I think the basic request could be satisfied by allowing an arbitrary time offset for the Timeline (as describ...

Re: multiple tracks do not move independently
It's easier to help you in your own topic so I started a new topic for you and gave it a relevant title. Turn off Sync-Lock Tracks - it is not on by default. Tracks > Sync-Lock Tracks, click to remove the checkmark. Be aware that Time Shift Tool too can drag multiple tracks if you drag from inside a...

You don't need the CTRL key in 2.1.2. Just SHIFT + click to toggle selectedness. You will need CTRL + click in 2.1.3 when released.nls wrote:CTRL + Click doesn't work for me but CTRL + Shift + Click works like a charm

Re: Buffer recording
I can't see that Radio Delay will help directly (I do have it). It just sends delayed playback of an external input. You still need a recording application that saves sections as it records (if I understand the request).

Re: rcording cassett/USB to windows
I found that the microphone volume control resets to mute and zero after a minute or so. when I unmute and increase volume it works for about a minute and then mutes again. That is either because you have Skype which is interfering, or a bug in your standard Windows USB class audio drivers, or a vi...

Re: Patch to export 32 bits in chains
From I've heard, Audacity 2.1.1 has some sort of bug (I believe) where, whatever effects you apply, it needs to insert unwanted latency and unwanted silence. To me, this is ridiculous enough not to have 2.1.1. 2.1.1 is not the latest version (2.1.2 is). Perhaps you would tell us what the bug is. I ...

Re: Removing Mistakes and Merging
You are recording at too low a level, which will bring the surface noise up too much. Increase the recording level in Audacity so that the peaks of the waveform reach 0.5 and -0.5 on the vertical scale to left of the blue waves.Gogators93 wrote:Nothing Else Matters.Sameplewav2.wav

Re: Removing Mistakes and Merging
There is no video because we don't make them, due to the need to remake them as soon as some salient feature in the video changes. You could use Append Record as I already described. Press the Stop button in Audacity when you make a mistake, drag a selection back to a natural break in the piece, del...

Re: BEHRINGER Q502 USB INTERFACE
First, set Audacity to record in stereo (third box of Device Toolbar ). Audacity cannot yet record separate mono tracks from a stereo device. So next, use the Audio Track Dropdown Menu and choose "Split Stereo to Mono". Then you can use the L....R sliders on each track to pan it in the ste...
