Re: Importing issue
In what way do the tags get messed up, exactly, using Export Multiple? Can you give an example? If you are not using the seven built-in tags that come with Metadata Editor, but adding your own, they get changed to TXXX user-specified tags, but that applies to all methods of export. In that way are t...

Re: Audacity plante:import de fichier FLAC trop lourd?
If the 2.0.2 crash report shows a textension error, that is already fixed in 2.0.5. It is up to you if you want to submit a crash report for the problem in 2.0.5 or not. Nothing will be fixed otherwise. The crash report should be saved as a TXT file with a maximum file size of 1 MB then you can atta...

Re: Importing issue
Also, what edits are you making to these files? You could consider automating what you are doing by making a "Chain" of the effects you want to run (including an export command), then select the files you want to modify and Audacity will run the Chain on each file in turn. See: http://manu...

Re: Audacity + Rega Fono Mini A2D => recording with best Sou
Have you tried looking at the manuals for the "Rega thingie" and the "Pono player"? You can choose bit depth, sample rate and dither settings in the Quality Preferences: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/quality_preferences.html . Does that answer you? What is your objective -...

Re: Orphan block file' error
Orphan block files are not required by the project, so are not the cause of having no tracks except in the specific case of very long recordings where you have thousands of AU files and they are all orphaned. Please attach the AUP file and say how many tracks there should be and how long each track ...

Re: file won't go over 2GB
FLAC is limited to 2 GB on Windows - see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fi ... ml#compare .
WAV is limited to 4 GB, but many applications cannot play WAV files over 2 GB.
What format were you using that was 9 GB and played correctly?

Re: Strange Audacity difference accross 2 PC's..?
Did you get an error about "Missing Aliased Files" when you opened the project on the troublesome machine? If a project contains WAV or AIFF files that you imported, you must go to File > Check Dependencies... and copy the files in if necessary before you close the project and copy it to t...

Re: audacity for windows 7
I merged your topics since they seem to be the same question. I think we have Windows 7. I need some advice on how and what to download from audacity and how much storage space it takes. Download 2.0.5 here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . You can see the size of the Audacity download the...

Re: individual tracks
Using XP and Audacity 2.0.5! Sorry I missed that bit Please be careful with XP. Microsoft is no longer patching your system so you are exposed to all new hacks and security risks that come along. At a minimum, install an anti-virus program and do regular overnight checks (if you are not already doi...

Re: Importing issue
This might be an issue with Windows Explorer but it also involves Audacity. It's about importing files. For example, in Windows XP, I have to manually select the file with the mouse and import it. Then when I'm done and ready to import the next file from the same folder, I still have to manually se...
