Re: Problem Importing 24-bit DTS
Everytime i try to import a multichannel 24-bit DTS audio track from a movie it ends up showing in audacity as 6 16-bit tracks and not 24-bit. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a limitation from audacity or the decoder? Assuming you are using FFmpeg to import the file, it's a limitation of A...

Re: Exported .wav files compatible across operating systems?
The file opens fine on Windows 7 (real machine).
What is eTimer? I found http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Mis ... IMER.shtml but I have no idea how to open WAV files in that.
I suggest you pursue your issue with Parallels, or dual boot Windows and Mac OS X.

Re: Audacity no disk space error has cut my original wav in
Hello, I just recorded a 1 hour mix, and imported the .wav into audacity to tweak. Upon importing i got an error (which i do not quite remember) followed by an audacity out of disk space error. (I did choose the 'safe option' which was presented prior to the import) I cleared space on my C drive an...

Re: Exported .wav files compatible across operating systems?
I know of no reason why Audacity 2.0.5 on Windows cannot play a WAV exported by Audacity 2.0.5 on Mac (I have just tested it, using real machines on Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.9.2). The WAV exported by Audacity on Mac is Little Endian, just like WAV's produced by Audacity on Windows. What is the exac...

Also if it is not stating the obvious, are you close enough to the mic?

Re: Samson C01U - White noise and low sound
I will try to test my microphone on other computers and see how it works. The sound isn't that bad, as you said, but I needed crystal clear sound for podcasts, where I can't remove that white noise. It was even biggger dissappointment for me when I saw videos of other Samson C01U users with absolut...

Thanks, Tres.
It would be good though if you could encourage Steve Harris to update http://plugin.org.uk/ with that information.

Re: Problem with second track
I seem unable to edit my post, but I wanted to add that I did indeed have the same problem using a different program. So I guess it comes down to an external mic then and see if I can make audacity work. OK but I take it you understand that an external mic with 1/8 inch connector for the mic port o...

Re: Question about LAME Library
What version of Audacity are you using? If you install libmp3lame.dylib in /usr/local/lib/audacity on each computer, doesn't Audacity detect LAME without browsing for it? If there are Apple permissions issues with that, then alternatively just put the libmp3lame.dylib file in the folder that has the...

Re: Samson C01U - White noise and low sound
Tell us make and model number of the computer and what version of Windows, Mac or Linux. It may not seem to be relevant but it could be.
