Re: Speaker volume slider affects recording volume
From what I have been reading on system recording with MME setting, I though I could use slider. If you use Windows WASAPI loopback recording ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html#wasapi ) then depending on the drivers of your audio device, you ma...

Re: time scale slider improvement to not to change the speed
what i want is 1 x the speed and tempo. only if you could do in times instead of percentages. Do you want to change pitch without changing Tempo? Yes or No? Where do you want to do that? In Transcription Toolbar? Yes or No? In Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift? Yes or No? Do you mean that you want the...

Re: cdda frames correction
i tried what gale had proposed, but could not get it working in audacity with the existing files? We did tell you it was fiddly to do it that way. I agree with Steve you should probably just try it without making new WAV's split on CDDA boundaries. But just for completeness, the double-click to sel...

Re: cdda frames correction
We did tell you it was fiddly to do it that way. But you need CDDA frames set in Selection Toolbar and Snap To on even if you rejoin the files then Export Multiple by labels.ledestin wrote:i tried what gale had proposed, but could not get it working in audacity with the existing files?

Re: Windows 8 No Wave form when recording
I cannot get a recording off my Audio-Technica LP60 USB Turntable - there are meter readings, but no waveform in the main box. Under Audacity 'Preferences', I have > Devices > Host MME >Playback> Speakers (Realtek High Definition)>Recording>Line(3-USB Audio Codec) Why does it not record - has somet...

Re: Converting multiple Audacity files to WAV
Thanks Gale for the clarification. I would like to see this feature in Audacity - I'm using it to edit multiple audio files from another source and it would save a lot of time to be able to bulk-convert them to WAV files at the end rather than exporting each individually. I recorded your vote for t...

Re: M audio Fast Track with Audacity or other interface?
Well i finally managed to purchase and install Steiberg UR-22 MK2 and run it with Audacity 2.1.1 version on my PC which carries Windows 10 PRO as OS. The problem i have noticed are the following: 1. If i leave the speakers connected to my PC and listen while recording the guitar, i can hear a short...

Re: auto moving waveform while playing
More information is available in the alpha manual: http://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/Timeline#pinned (note that this link goes to the current "pre-release" version of the manual, so is subject to change). We can safely predict the link when the 2.1.3 Manual is available as http://ma...

Re: M audio Fast Track with Audacity or other interface?
Audacity isn't the best program for multitrack recording/mixing. This means that on Windows, most multi-channel devices won't record more than two channels at a time into Audacity. This is because Audacity does not ship with support for the ASIO protocol which more or less guarantees multi-channel ...
