Re: higher/lower content volume separation
I don't think there is a feature request here so I moved this to "Audio Processing". Audacity does not ship with a Noise Gate but you can install a Nyquist Noise Gate from http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Noise_Gate . Installation instructions for Nyquist plug-ins ...

Are you hearing yourself late? If so, turn off Transport > Software Playthrough in Audacity.raguirre01 wrote:Thanks for the info. I just did it and I can hear myself through the headphones but there is now a delay in the sound. How can I avoid this?

Re: Audacity 2.0.5 won't recognize Lame
I would guess that a copy of lame_enc.dll used by Roxio is conflicting with Audacity's copy of lame_enc.dll (you have ROXIO in your PATH according to the Audacity log). Try renaming lame_enc.dll in C:Program FilesLame For Audacity to "libmp3lame.dll" (without quotes). If Audacity still ask...

Re: .CAF audio file import error
I have been using an recording app called "Recordium" on my iPhone, and its default format is .caf. I didn't remark this until I made several recordings, and was neither able to open it (except with Quick Time) nor to convert it into mp3. After some searches I found Audacity and installed...

Re: Help with WAV bitrate encoding.
Also bear in mind that most applications can't play WAV files larger than 2 GB, and the absolute maximum is 4 GB. 32-bit files (floating point or fixed point) are twice as large as 16-bit PCM. For 44100 Hz 32-bit stereo WAV, you will only get 1 hour 40 minutes playing time within the 2 GB pseudo-lim...

Re: Direct help for a BLIND user of Audacity
I have a blind musician friend who would like to use Audacity. I've been surfing the Internet trying to find concise, useful information on the subject . . . not too much success, unfortunately. There is some information in this topic. In my opinion, it is much better your friend joins the Audacity...

Re: Waveform goes flat after a few seconds
Just as you suspected, problem not with Audacity, per se, but with the designated temp directory used by Audacity. Permissions on .AppsDataTempaudacity_temp somehow got messed up. "." is not a valid path. Audacity actually interprets ".AppsData" as meaning it should create a tem...

I am not able to right click over the speaker near the clock, nothing there... You may need to click on the upward pointing arrow in the system tray to show hidden icons. Or click the Windows globe or press the Windows key on your computer keyboard, type the following into the search box: mmsys.cpl...

Re: Apply Chain file export problem
In reply to creativetype's e-mail from Nabble, Batch Debug Mode is not enabled in Audacity 2.0.x and is not causing the export problem mentioned in this topic.
