I have a new Dell 7440, with WIN 7, 64 bit OS and used Audacity 2.04 from your zip download page. Also have the standard RealTek High Def audio driver and Intel Display Audio. No matter how I configure the WIN 7 Sound settings and various combinations of Audacity Device, Input, Output, levels, etc....

i save it on the wrong format (that just 2 hour) "Saving" is for an Audacity project. If you did save a project you can just reopen the AUP file and the audio will be the correct length. If you exported a WAV file that is 5.25 GB, then launch Audacity and use File > Import > Raw Data... ....

Try changing the USB cable, or at least removing it and refitting it tightly. Make sure you are choosing the USB Audio CODEC as input device in Device Toolbar . Possibly, rebooting might help. See the steps in the box "Detecting USB and Firewire devices" here: http://manual.audacityteam.or...
