Re: export - no sound
Greetings Please excuse me. I am new to Audacity, and I haven't found a way to find an answer to my question. Using a Stanton USB turntable windows 7, and Audacity 2.0.5 I have gotten a record on Audacity, and can play it and edit it, but when I export to either MP3, or WAV the resulting file has n...

Re: 27 second recording
Actually, RIGHT after I installed it I started a cassette, pressed record (having made no changes) and it stopped at 27. I started "tinkering" with setting and got it to go to 52. Then what exactly did you change - Edit > Preferences: Recording, then Audio to buffer? Audio to buffer shoul...

If adjusting buffer does not help, there are many more suggestions here:

One not listed there - close Nautilus (file manager) if you have it open.

Re: Which effects did i add???
Would you find it useful to be able to export the history to a text file while the project was open, or to have the history automatically saved when saving the project (without being able to undo/redo once the project was closed)?

Re: 27 second recording
Thank you for trying. I just can't get this to work. Nothing I try will allow it to run continuously. I've tried everything. I'm just slow I guess. You will need this download http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-2.0.5.exe . If you did not install that, then exit the Audacity version y...

Re: Audacity neither records nor plays
I have updated the drivers - incidentally replacing the Microsoft drivers with the Conexant drivers that were there originally So did you "roll back" the drivers to the original Conexant drivers in Device Manager? Microsoft generic drivers are almost never as good as the correct drivers i...

Re: 27 second recording
I'm still hoping someone can help. I still can't get it to not stop after 27 seconds. I changed the bottom "HH:MM" bar to 99H but it's not "really" 99 hours. It goes to 52H (about 5 minutes) and stops recording. PLEASE, I know I'm doing something wrong but can't figure it out. H...

Re: Assembling Recovered Tracks
I accidentally deleted an Audacity project, but managed to recover all of the au. 1) Have they retained their file creation time? 2) Was the project an unedited recording, or had you done any editing/processing? The project was, sadly, edited. Quite extensively. I didn't manage to recover the AUP f...
