Re: file won't go over 2GB
So why do you think that all of my shows from between 2007 and 2013 (that had the encoder 1.1.1 and 1.1.2) made it over 2GB without a hitch? Again, I am only having this problem of not getting things over 2GB now. I don't know (and I am certainly not interested in researching it given the problem n...

Re: Blank spots recording Skype
It's totally my computer. I just tried a trial version of Adobe Audition and I had this same problem I had with Audacity. I have no idea why my computer is doing this, I believe it's filtering stuff. I don't recall anyone else reporting a dropout problem resulting from volume changes, so if you mus...

Re: Feature request: Moving tracks
However if we were to do that I think we should also allow mouse drag of selected multiple tracks up and down. Currently, if you have (for example) 4 tracks, with a selection in tracks 2 and 3, you can drag track 1 up or down without losing the selection: * Hold down the shift key * Click and relea...

Re: Stereomix help (Windows 8.1)
ASUS is a different device to Realtek and the Logitech headset is a different device. Realtek can only record audio playing through Realtek. Setting ASUS to listen to Stereo Mix won't help because there is no input on stereo mix - you want to send the sound the other way - from ASUS to stereo mix. H...

Re: Feature request: Moving tracks
Also note that moving the single focused track (the one with the yellow border) can be achieved now with a pair of keyboard shortcuts: SHIFT + M then U to move up one track, or SHIFT + M then D to move down one track. It would be nice to make that a single shortcut, as has been discussed before. Gale

Re: Feature request: Moving tracks
I propose adding a keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-Arrow, for example, to move tracks up or down. Highlight the tracks you want, then hit ctrl-up-arrow a few times to move them to where you want to go. This would also allow you to move several tracks at once, which Audacity currently cannot do. I think tha...

Re: Audacity neither records nor plays
Try setting the Output (Playback) device in the device toolbar to "Microsoft Sound Mapper - Output". You should certainly choose the "MME" host in Device Toolbar if you are experiencing problems. It should be the most compatible host. If the problem persists I would definitely u...

Re: No Playback on MacBook Pro
I went into the Sound settings in System Preferences several times. The settings were always correct. At one point I restarted. Maybe that had something to do with Audacity suddenly working. If you start the computer then use Audacity before any other audio/video application uses the sound device, ...

Re: ReplayGain
Do we have a version without R128 stable enough to put on Wiki? Or is this plug-in not preferable to ReplayGain/MP3 Gain? I haven't read the whole topic but the obvious question that strikes me is why the plug-in doesn't run through the tracks in turn and perform the amplification itself. Is it anot...
