Re: Unable to save when disk space low
On Linux, temporary "files" are cleaned up when the project is closed, but (empty) folders may still exist if other Audacity projects are still open. Redundant temporary folders are cleaned up when the "Audacity session" ("all" open projects) closes. I imagine this is ...

Re: Unable to save when disk space low
Once disk space gets to a critically low level I may or may not get a warning in Audacity. Usually if critically low Audacity will chop holes throughout my tracks, usually when applying an effect. You only receive a warning of space below 100 MB on launch of Audacity or when opening a new project. ...

@ericb7799 Please can you use the RETURN or ENTER key twice to create paragraphs? Your text is near impossible to take in when all in one huge block.

Re: the status line says "Actual Rate: 44100"
Win10 Audacity 2.1.2 (.exe install) What is that status line referring to? Is it the project's rate? This is confusing. I have my project set to 192000Hz, but the status line reads 44100. I just added a new sound card. It looks like I can record 192000 24bit wav files, but did it somehow get proces...

Re: Mic sound only partly recorded during overdubbing
What is "Audio Soundbox"? Is that what the Presonus Audiobox is called? Recording from the internal microphone of the computer is the cause of your problem. You need to set the Audacity Recording Device in Device Toolbar to whatever the Presonus Audiobox is called, so that you can record f...

@gale: finally i was able to correct the waves with audacity & cdrecord (simulate) does not complain anymore, thank you. So you are burning on Linux now? is it possible to adjust the beginning of a track (not the end), as well? The beginning of a track (time zero) should by definition be at at ...

Re: M audio Fast Track with Audacity or other interface?
From http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=94778 : i started recording my Yamaha Electroacoustic guitar through a Steinberg UF-22 MK interface connected at USB port. I recorded the first track fine. However, after recording the second track to lay some fill ins on the guitar, once i...

Re: M audio Fast Track with Audacity or other interface?
the crackle is not due to recording too loud. I even bought new speakers and the crackle is still there. both with acoustic and electric guitar. And is the crackle in the same place every time you play the recording, or in different places? If you answered that question, we would know whether it is...
