Re: Background noise returns after export
Here is the file without noise You have posted an Audacity project file. It's just a text file that controls the actual audio in the _data folder of an Audacity project. Please post an audio file as already requested, preferably WAV, and no more than 1 MB if you attach it here. You can upload large...
Re: Trovi
I've asked the person involved and, apparently, the download was from the audacity/sourceforge link! There is no such site controlled by Audacity Team as "audacity/sourceforge". This is the official download site of Audacity: http://audacityteam.org/download/ . Obviously I already looked ...

Re: Deleting Clipped Audio
You can try CTRL + R to run the script further times, and/or try selecting the second burst only. For such a bad instance as that you might almost as well use Pop Mute: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Pop_Mute . To install Nyquist plug-ins see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/w...

Re: Poor Sound from Computer Speakers
You could download the web audio as a file to your computer (search Google or Bing for how to do that) and look at it in Analyze > Plot Spectrum... . Compare that with the plot from one of your recordings that distort in the computer speakers. You can attach a screen shot of both plots if you like. ...

Re: Audacity clipping waveform even though I still have head
I'd like to save that I have completely solved this problem on my own. I reinstalled Audacity, and when I did, it asked me, during the install, if I wanted to include some type of hard limiter .dll or plugin or something along those lines. I don't even remember it asking me last time to install any...

Re: Gain Control During Recording Stoped Working?
Audacity = newest from the forge 2.05 We don't make any "2.05" version. If it is not a typo you can get the latest 2.0.5 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . voices are what is being recorded You can record "voices" from the internal microphone, from an external...

Re: Deleting Clipped Audio
That Nyquist code is Steve's. Did you try Normalizing to -1 dB after the Nyquist script? Does it still look flat-topped or does it sound distorted after Normalize? If so, can you upload an example file that the script does not "fix" and give us the web address so we can download it? Also i...
