Re: patch for startup crash without a temporary directory

Would post on Bugzilla, but requesting an account there is too much of a hassle. I won't bother. Sorry but we get far too many false bug reports and requests for "help" (even sometimes from Linux users) to open Audacity Bugzilla to the public. The best place to post a patch is normally to...

Re: Distorted play back

Is the Sam software this: http://spacial.com/sam-dj ? Are you sure that software isn't applying effects? The program is Sam Broadcaster (Spacial Audio) and no its not applying effects. I would check that very carefully if you have http://spacial.com/sam-broadcaster . That program includes lots of e...

Re: Recording computer playback using WASAPI or MME

So for recording the sound coming from the computer speakers it does not matter whether I use MME or WASAP both will give the same result. They do not function in quite the same way. For best results with WASAPI it may be best to set Audacity project rate to 44100 Hz and also to set Default Sample ...

Re: Audacity MP3 doesn't play on MP3 player [SOLVED]

I did notice that in my old computer it was set to 41k 48kHz should be valid... I'm not sure what the allowable sample rates are, but 48kHz usually works. So, I think there is a flaw in your car stereo's MP3 decoder. Valid sample rates per the MP3 specification are (Hz): 8000, 11025, 12000, 16000, ...

If you mean the ShuttlePRO2 there is a software app here that maps it to key presses:

Re: Imbalance between stereo recording tracks LPs

Also please tell us your version of Windows (see the pink panel at the top of the page). Can you describe exactly in what way the stereo is "incorrect"? If you are recording into the mic input on a laptop, at best those are usually "compatible" stereo inputs that may not give a p...

Re: Static while Recording

Try another USB cable. Try another USB port.

Try turning all other applications off except ArcSoft and Audacity.

If you updated the ArcSoft app just before the problem started, consider downgrading.

Re: Temp files exist, but will not load

I can't see your computer as to where the AU files are. I suppose it's possible that you don't have access to "C:UsersHanielAppDataLocalTempaudacity_temp" but Windows is not reporting it. I did ask if there was a lock symbol on that folder or on the project folders inside there, but I don'...

Re: Static while Recording

Have you rebooted the computer since this problem started?

Try 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz project rate bottom left of Audacity.
