Re: Windows 8 Audacity poor quality playback

Yes I am certain I have done all of that, multiple times. I do not use the internal mic, I choose stereo mix, and the generate tone sounded fine. I'm at a loss, as I just noticed that simply recording my voice (not internet audio) has the same problem on the playback (fades in and out). Then you'll...

Re: Always loop?

FYI, I actually want the selected portion to always loop, but if I click B/Ctrl+Mouse to start from there and when it reaches end to start again from the beginning of the selection. So actually it's not " Loop from cursor to track end " but " Don't interrupt looping, but start playin...

Re: No luck recording vinyl

In Device Toolbar , set the second (output) box to the built-in headphones or speakers, and the third (input) box to the USB Audio CODEC for the Pro-Ject assuming you have connected it to the computer using the USB cable. Adjust the USB cable so that it is tight both ends. Change the USB cable if th...

Re: Feature request: Moving tracks

The contents of multiple tracks left and right when the contents are selected or Sync-Locked. I can't understand that sentence. You cannot drag single or multiple tracks left or right. You may need to adjust the Manual if you want to insist on that meaning: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tool...

Re: modified silence marker to insert more silence

The compression percentage would allow values up to 200 % or so. The filling of the additional space can be accomplished in many different ways: - crossfading 3 copies of the original. - reversing the silence in the middle. - Several randomized FFT-spectra to fill the gap - Artificial Comfort noise...

How do you drag a track horizontally?
By dragging the clip if that clip is the whole track. Obviously the Track Control Panel does not come along for the ride.

Re: Feature request: Moving tracks

I'm still voting for mouse dragging of selected tracks up and down (difficult or not) but also for using a menu item to do that. Vertical mouse drag of multiple tracks would save time over vertical drag of single tracks, and I think it is unintuitive that you can mouse drag multiple selected tracks ...

Re: Audacity working very slowly

Are you sure you got 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ? I would copy everything you have in the Modules folder somewhere else then delete the Modules folder. You should not have a Modules folder. GSnap is a VST effect, and it should be put in the Audacity Plug-Ins folder. If these...

Re: Windows 8 Audacity poor quality playback

Not sure what specifics you are asking for but I can say that I am recording w/ RealTek High Def No you are not - in CLICK THIS LINK Device Toolbar , Realtek has something in front of it like internal microphone or stereo mix. That is what we are asking. What input device do you choose in Device To...
