The file is garbage. Noise can't be removed without removing the wanted audio if noise is spread across the entire frequency spectrum and is much louder than the wanted audio. There is nothing we can do given Wahwah does not crash for us, unless there is something specific in your tracks that it causing it. Leave Audacity running - don't save the project with it silenced and don't quit it normally or you will lose the temporary data.

Please open Help > Show Log ... . Click "Log" top left, save the log and attach it.

Also audio won't go behind zero if you turn Transport > Overdub off. Do you need to hear all the other tracks play while recording the next one?

You should definitely try WASAPI - but are you saying you don't hear that noise in headphones when listening, without recording?
