Re: Help Please

The file is garbage. Noise can't be removed without removing the wanted audio if noise is spread across the entire frequency spectrum and is much louder than the wanted audio. Vocals can't be removed with Audacity's Vocal Removal (or most vocal removal plug-ins) with a mono track - stereo is needed....

Re: Downloaded new Audacity, audio plays back garbled and sl

Be sure you hit the big green Play button or use SPACE on your keyboard. The small Play button plays at different speeds. Please reboot the computer and try again in 2.0.5. If no success, quit Audacity and reinstall 2.0.5. Enable the "Reset Preferences" box half way through the installer a...

Re: WAHWAH CRASH?

There is nothing we can do given Wahwah does not crash for us, unless there is something specific in your tracks that it causing it. In that case we would need you to upload one of the tracks somewhere. I suggest quitting Audacity and following the steps here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa...

Hi Joe,

Leave Audacity running - don't save the project with it silenced and don't quit it normally or you will lose the temporary data.

Please open Help > Show Log ... . Click "Log" top left, save the log and attach it.

Re: Buzz noise at beginning of vocal after you export

Also audio won't go behind zero if you turn Transport > Overdub off. Do you need to hear all the other tracks play while recording the next one?

Re: How to make several short clips into one long mp3?

I have no real idea what you are trying to do either, but if you need to import separate audio files into the Audacity project, press F5 on your keyboard then you can drag them along the Timeline and they will be a single MP3 file when you export them (File > Export). Press F1 to go back to Selectio...

Re: HELP! Copy/paste audio quality issues!

Recent upgrade or not, some Mac users - especially on MacBook Pro - find audio issues after having upgraded to Mavericks from previous OS X. Reinstalling Mavericks sometimes helps. If one or more tracks have audio that starts at time zero, ensuring those tracks are at the top of the project may help...

Re: Recording goes wrong after around 50 minutes

I assume 2.05 is a typo for 2.0.5. As always, sample rates and bit depths must be matched everywhere. Start by looking in Audacity > Preferences: Quality and /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup. Using 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz everywhere will tax your hardware less than using much higher rates. If y...

Re: Buzz noise at beginning of vocal after you export

Please use more words. If we ask you to do something, say you've done it, so we know. Have you reset Preferences? Have you generated a tone (Generate > Tone..., I suggest at amplitude 0.2 so it is not too loud), exported it as WAV, and does the WAV have the buzz? Are you only hearing the buzz when y...

Re: Noise when recording stereo-mix

You should definitely try WASAPI - but are you saying you don't hear that noise in headphones when listening, without recording?
