Re: Error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 6085
Although the recording was silent I saved it as an AU file and there is a "data folder" stored along with the shortcut. Sorry, but that's exactly what I told you not to do. Leave Audacity running - don't save the project with it silenced and don't quit it normally or you will lose the tem...

Re: Can no longer record output after buying new headset
I moved this to the Windows board. Thanks for giving the devices you see. The Realtek stereo mix almost certainly won't be able to record from the SkullCandy because it is a different device than Realtek, notwithstanding it has a connection to the speakers output of the built-in sound device. Look a...

Re: Error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 6085
I am not sure where to look for these .au files? They are in the 13 "d" folders ("d00" to "d0c") in "C:UsersFXAppDataLocalTempaudacity_tempproject23736e00". Also, I have restarted my computer and I am afraid that the temporary files may be gone. Do you mean i...

Re: Error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 6085
This was all on June 23rd, so I am not sure why it says June 25th. Also, I put the computer to sleep and then when I opened it back up everything had crashed, my browser and every other application that was running. That probably explains the concurrent timestamps, if not the actual date. I will tr...

Re: No speakers
I added speakers,I had to. Can you describe more exactly what you did and where you connected speakers? You mean you had to use different speakers to record computer playback, instead of using the TV speakers? As I have intermittancy when I change pages,is it possible to ,after recording erase all ...

Re: Some sound loss when recording vinyl - HELP!
I assumed you were scratching two records together at the same time, so I meant the fader balance between the two decks.

You would need commercial tools of the calibre used in audio forensics to decipher anything from that.

Re: Error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 6085
To me the structure looks perfect - the expected number of AU files in the correct folders in the correct place. What doesn't look correct is the timestamps on the files, which are all within three minutes of each other (25 June 06:44 to 06:47 PM). Was that when you woke up or went to sleep? Near id...

Re: Some sound loss when recording vinyl - HELP!
See RIAA equalization - Wikipedia . Usually when you record from a turntable you provide phono amplification that both boosts the signal level and removes the excessive high frequencies (and adds back the reduced bass) that most LP's are recorded with. If you don't apply the RIAA playback EQ the aud...
