Re: convert music to 432 Hz

To begin with you are using a tutorial for an obsolete 1.2 version of Audacity which makes it harder to follow. Are you sure you applied -1.818 percent change in Change Pitch? Scientifically, that is only a small change. What you think it does to your brain is your decision alone. ;) If the exported...

Re: Audacity neither records nor plays

What fixed it? Reinstalling the Conexant drivers you obtained from Toshiba?

Re: Can no longer record output after buying new headset

As a small caveat, I had to set Audacity's Output to Realtek Digital Speakers, as when I set it to the Speakers Skullcandy it gave an unable to access device message. As far as recording, it is back to working perfectly now. Thanks, that's interesting if it applies generally to wireless headsets. R...

Choose the input you are connected to in the third box of Device Toolbar .

Also see this helpful information if you have not done so already: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... tml#guitar .

Re: No speakers

The drop outs stem from my computer when I change pages on windows 7 using chrome,I have beeen on other forums trying to sort that out,but have given up. It is very difficult to help unless you say exactly what you are tying to do. Are you recording audio playing in multiple different tabs in Chrom...

Re: Clicking Noise when Recording Long Audio with Soundflowe

What three-digit version number of Audacity? See Audacity > About Audacity... . Are you on Mavericks or MacBook Pro? That combination can have buffering issues. Try Audacity > Preferences... then choose "Recording" on the left. Try changing the "Audio to buffer" setting. Reducing...

Re: Audacity association with WAV lost after installing 2.0.

To be clear there is no "2.05" version - it's 2.0.5. And you can install 2.0.5, so I gave this topic a more useful title. If you install the new 2.0.x version into the same folder as the previous 2.0.x version you should not lose self-created Audacity associations with audio files, whether...

Re: No speakers

You mean it's correct that you used different speakers to record from or it's correct you are using 44100 Hz project rate? You can use Effect > Truncate Silence... to remove audible silences but that is not really a "solution" if the problem is dropouts in the recording. If you would like ...

Re: Firewire Recording glitches after 50 minutes [SOLVED]

Well, 300ms in the audio buffer seems to have fixed the problem. I ran a "soak test" recording for a couple of hours and it was glitch free. I wonder why it worked for so long before going wrong? Who can tell? Did you only just update to Mavericks? The first couple of releases of Maverick...

Thanks for the dxdiag report. It appears to show that the Driver Provider for the SoundMax device is "Analog Devices", so it's not merely a generic Microsoft driver. Do you have a branded computer like Dell or HP or did you build the computer yourself? Where did you get the driver from? We...
