Re: barre de sélection - incrément
I would want to understand to what is of use the option " incrément...". I do not understand how this option works. You can read this very incomplete translation (see "Ajustement à"): http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Selection_Toolbar/fr . Many other pages in the Manual are no...

Re: Change Speed - Stretch audio to a specified length
I prefer the version that includes "New speed as a percentage" and hope that version will find its way on to Wiki.

Re: convert music to 432 Hz
Is a simplistic retuning of music recorded at A=440Hz to A=432 Hz by a -1.818% pitch change really adequate?
There are no 432 Hz partials in the recording, so will the pitch change somehow create them, or even audibly preserve the transposed 440 Hz partials?

Re: Trying to fix corrupt IMA WAV ADPCM .wav file
Gale, you're so kind to decode it for me! It is actually kind of audible! Please please tell me what you did? Or point me in the right direction so I can learn? I just downloaded SoX (which has to run at the command-line because it has no interface with menus and buttons), opened a command prompt w...

Re: Recording with a microphone
Im using the latest Audacity on Windows. Please give us the exact information asked for at the top of this page. Have a look at this FAQ: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#keyboards . Ask again (giving the necessary information) if you need help after that. Gale

Re: Trying to fix corrupt IMA WAV ADPCM .wav file
Well, SoX has one up on Audacity then by being able to decode that. The "corrupt" file could be 48000 Hz which would make it closer to the length of the "correct" one and the length of my attempt. My attempt did have all the audio that is in Steve's version. Here is Steve's versi...

Actually he selected Multi-Tool which includes Envelope Tool.kozikowski wrote:You selected the Envelope tool. See that "I" beam up on top. Select that.
Koz
If you select Multi-Tool that choice is saved to audacity.cfg, so restarting Audacity does not get you out of the problem.

Re: Unable to import M4B File
was unable to get the FFmpeg library to .exe Please try following these instructions http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown . Does FFMpeg support M4B? Yes in terms of the audio encoding - it's just AAC. The bookmarks and chapter marks may not survive if you w...

Re: Help finding an "ASIO compliant" version!
Please can anyone suggest or point me to where I can get such a version? I'm guessing we can't help you. If someone happens by that has a compiled version, then you two play nice. Worse than that, if someone posted a link to an ASIO-enabled build of Audacity we would remove the link, because by def...

Re: Discontinuous, and spectral selections
I was unaware of these commands. They don't quite do what I imagined but make a workaround possible: Split-cut at the labels. Copy into new track. Select all in the track, control-drag with the star tool to realign. Apply effect to the new track. Mix and render with the original track. That is a st...
