Re: Input audio drops in multi-track overdubing
i'm sorry for bad english. No problem. I'm trying to record my voice with the front microphone, i didn't have skype or anything else turn on, i have disabled the "comunication detection". Audacity is not the cause of your issue. You can't expect much with a built-in sound device that cost...

Re: Best way to record two record sides to one wav/flac
it's true that many "audiophiles" prefer vinyl. Technically (noise, frequency response, and distortion), vinyl is inferior to CD. I think that's because there are no tests (that I know of) for most of the weaknesses in CD (loss of depth and "sound stage" compared to original vin...

Re: Input audio drops in multi-track overdubing
What is the "int mic" - internal microphone? Does the Audacity input slider move itself down if there is an audible sound in the first track when you record? What are you recording - Skype? To record Skype, we recommend using an appropriate program meant to record Skype rather than Audacit...

Re: Will audacity allow me to record with three mics?
If the AKAI EIE lets Audacity record three or four simultaneous channels, please let us know and tell us what version of Windows you are on. Then we can mention this on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Multichannel_Recording#Suggested_devices . You may have to choose the "Master" input de...

Re: Presonus Firewire Stutter?
Thanks for the information. This seems like a unique case. The nearest issue similar to it (where you touch the input side in system Sound to restore sound to Audacity) has been said to occur in 2.0.4.bputney wrote:Something significant to this problem changed between 2.0.4. and 2.0.5.

It works for me. Are you sure it's a mono track?spicyfajita wrote:in the Nyquist prompt I'm only getting a return value for that code (I must be using it wrong)

Re: Corrupt File ("Mismatched tag en línea 627")
Audacity 2.0.1 is obsolete. You can obtain the current Audacity 2.0.5 here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Did you see an "Automatic Crash Recovery dialogue like this? http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/c/c4/CrashRecovery.png If so, what happened and what did you do there? Othe...

Re: Editing a song with video and Movie Maker
I'd probably just use a slow fade out at the appropriate point, and toward the end of the fade out, fade in the actual video soundtrack. I don't know if I'm missing the point, but I thought there was no video soundtrack, and that the idea was to trim the Cline song to 34.78 seconds to fit the video...

Re: Presonus Firewire Stutter?
I suppose 44.1 kHz is the rate at which it gathers samples... It's not very descriptive though. ;) Then the Audacity Project Rate bottom left should be set to 44100 Hz to match. Not a Macbook Pro. It's a Late 2013 Mac Pro. The shiny black mini trash can design. 3.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 16GB 1...

Re: Audio clipping when recording from SPDIF
I think you "should" be able to specify 48000 Hz in Project Rate bottom left of Audacity and have the actual rate bottom right of Audacity be 48000 Hz even if Windows Default Format is set to another rate, but I find that doesn't always happen even with the same audio input. Audacity's WD...
