Re: Batch change gain for selected tracks?
SHIFT-click the tracks you want to modify the volume of, and use Effect > Amplify... . If you are using Chains, File > Edit Chains... and add an Amplify command to the Chain. If you are asking for a keyboard shortcut that lets you modify gain on all selected tracks, it's a Feature Request. Would you...

Re: how can i recover this unsaved project
I can't see anything wrong with that file unless you are using Audacity 2.0.0 ANSI in which case the accented characters in the track name could be the problem. Try the attached file where I have renamed the track to "audio". Unless you are actually using an ANSI version of Windows (98 or ...

Re: Saving a song
You can't export (or edit) when the track is playing or paused. Press the yellow Stop button.

Re: Exported M4A file contain zero data
I assume you mean Audacity 2.0.5 and AAC. If you don't have Audacity 2.0.5 supplied by us, you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Windows Update cannot affect Mac OS X even if you dual boot Mac and Windows. Reinstalling Audacity on Windows will not change Audacity settings u...

Re: Corrupt File ("Mismatched tag en línea 627")
OK - it just means you will have a few seconds of silence in the project unless you can find the AU file that should have been referenced in the AUP file at line 626.Doroc0 wrote:It works, don't understand anything you say, but it's work, thank you very much.

Re: Corrupt File ("Mismatched tag en línea 627")
If you look at line 626 (the one before the cited line 627) you can see it only contains <waveblock start="40985862" rms="0.124215"/> whereas it should include more information such as in the simpleblockfile filename "e000047b.au" above it: <simpleblockfile filename=&qu...

Feel free to submit a patch. I dislike the fade in at the start of tracks.Paul L wrote:I also think the Compressor handles the first seconds of my tracks unsatisfactorily and I have a better idea why after reading the code.

Re: Inaccurate documentation for compressor?
I think these descriptions are inaccurate: Attack Time: How soon the compressor starts to compress the dynamics after the threshold is exceeded. If volume changes are slow, you can push this to a high value. Short attack times will result in a fast response to sudden, loud sounds, but will make the...

Also if you don't need Transport > Software Playthrough on so as to hear what you are recording, turn it off. It may make it easier for the sound device.
