Re: Editing a song with video and Movie Maker

Since no one else offered, here is a 34.78s version. Given the end of the song is in a higher key than the start, it sounded terrible to me to crossfade 17 seconds in from the start with 17 seconds from the end, so I just faded out then faded in. I also made the first few seconds quieter, tried to r...

Re: Fixing Windows 8 to record stereo

So found some help here on the forum but nothing exactly precise. I think you will find lots of links on the Forum to the FAQ that gives the solution: How can I record in stereo? . Yes, I know that does not say Windows 8, but it will do in the Manual for Audacity 2.0.6 when released. Thanks Gale

Re: No evidence of file modification by Chain

As it says at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ap ... html#apply, the files should be in a "Cleaned" folder in the directory the original files came from.

The original files are not altered.

Re: Exported M4A file contain zero data

I resolve the problem by sliding the quality to 10500 There is no such setting. The Quality slider goes from 10 to 500. I also tried on Mac OS X using FFmpeg 0.6.2 with a project rate of 8000 Hz and Quality 10 or Quality 500 but files are exported. Can you tell us exactly what project rate and exac...

Re: Edit multiple voice recordings

What I am after is not sounding like any other KNOWN person, just making my own voice sound like it was another human talking. Then your question is too vague. For a start, do you want your voice to remain recognisably the same gender? Use some words to describe how you want to change it. Or simply...

Re: Edit multiple voice recordings

Koz suggested a search engine. Why not take him up on that suggestion? You have to make the frequency distribution (Equalization) of the target voice the same as the voice you want to sound like *and* change the voice formants independently of the frequency. You can look at http://forum.audacityteam...

Re: Blue Yeti listening while recording

Split from http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=225021#p225021 Been meaning to come back here and mark the thread as RESOLVED. Blue got back to me with what should have been an obvious fix, were not the Sound menu so obfuscated. Start > Control Panel > Sound > Speakers - 3- USB Advanced Au...

Re: Exported M4A file contain zero data

This is what I found in the log: 1:01:09 AM: Error: FFmpeg : ERROR - Can't open audio codec 0x15002. Thanks for checking the Log. Please tell us exactly what you are doing and where to produce that error. Are you exporting M4A (AAC) from Audacity, if so, is this on Mac or Windows, or both? If you a...

This isn't anything specifically to do with exporting to the M4A audio format, so I started a new topic for you.

Have a look at this Tutorial in the Manual: Tutorial - Copying tapes, LPs or MiniDiscs to CD .
