Let's see what happens if you make a "simple" recording. Shut down Skype and TeamSpeak. Connect Yeti to a spare USB port on the computer. Get close enough to the Yeti and adjust the mic gain knob on it correctly. Do you still have the noise?
Do you use Yeti when you use Skype?

Re: Recording new problems
Please be careful with Windows XP. Microsoft are no longer officially supporting it, so it will be unpatched against any new security vulnerabilities (viruses) that appear. A virus may already be causing your problem by using computer resources to spy on you or to use your computer to send spam e-ma...

Re: Impossible to hear recordings from project
Assuming you are on Windows I moved this topic here. There is no point posting a question in English on the French forum - no one will be able to understand it. ;) It s not the first time i m using Audacity and making projects with it. But this time, I cannot hear what I recorded ! I tried via "...

Re: Syncing Variable Speed Audio
The absence of replies suggests "no". Can you find other copies of the music track that don't change tempo?
If the music has heavy beats you may be able to use Quantization in some audio editing applications. Audacity doesn't have that feature.

Re: Problems recording
I added the image you sent to our feedback address. Really it's not a good idea to record high quality audio to a mic input. It's even possible you have destroyed the mic input by feeding already amplified line level input into it. Use the blue line-in if you have one. No Audacity has not failed - i...

Re: Inaccurate documentation for compressor?
I think that would shift the whole gain curve up some distance, not change the slopes of its two parts. I can see it if it duplicates the signals, so you have louder "quiet" signals but the "loud" signals are compressed. Then the quiet signals are louder in absolute terms. Gale

Thanks for looking. I did find that page before but couldn't find anything specific to the Aureon 8.0.Robert2 wrote:A manual in English from TERRATEC Audio Center High Definition Audio Device User Manual

Re: Inaccurate documentation for compressor?
There is a technique (that became popular with the produces at Motown records in the 60's) where the compressor was used as an "AUX" effect. That is, the signal path was split, so that there was an "auxiliary send" from the mixing desk that would go through the effect, then back...
