Re: High noise with blue yeti.

You now have no excessive noise, even if you record at the same time as ShadowPlay?

Re: Batch editing Metadata

I think it's still a reasonable suggestion (at least for WAV files) - you might want to change tags and edit the audio at the same time. There is a way already to add the same tag values to files exported using a Chain, which is to set Metadata Editor up before running the Chain. Just enter the tags...

Re: Sound recorded under 0 dB

the internal microphone of my laptop never worked. But I gave it a test again earlier today, and it seems to be now working! The internal mics of most laptops cost a few pennies to make. However, when I record it with Audacity, the waveforms are centred around a negative number, and not around zero...

Re: Selecting and deleting audio between labels.

The "silences" between the sounds look quite clean/low level. I'm a bit surprised the Labeled Audio and copy/paste steps would be completely necessary (and to be pedantic, you only need to select the label track to use the Labeled Audio commands).

Re: Audacity stopped recording via Direct Sound after Win 8

Following the 8 July Win 8.1 Mass Update, Audacity can no longer record from an external input using Audio Host Windows Direct Sound or WASAPI. Only MME works. Prior to the update, all three input methods would allow recording. Setup: Audacity 2.0.5 installed from .exe; External source is TASCAM US...

Re: High noise with blue yeti.

Even though you want to record your voice at the same time as ShadowPlay , try turning off ShadowPlay then record your voice in stereo. Is there still the noise? If yes, have you tried replacing the Yeti's USB cable (or is it built-in)? Make sure the cable is attached to an empty USB port, not to a ...

Re: Error: no element found at line 75

Unfortunately the file is corrupted at line 75 (part way through the right channel of the stereo track), after which the remaining entries are completely missing. I've "repaired" the file so that it should open (see attached) but you will have an error with eight missing audio data block f...

Re: High noise with blue yeti.

I think the stereo channel have a problem, and i don't know why So what happens if you set Audacity to record in mono (last box in Device Toolbar )? If you need stereo recording in Audacity, have you got ...

Re: Inaccurate documentation for compressor?

Thanks for the screenshots. Steve. So the signal is "duplicated" rather than split (in so far that the input volume of both parts is not modified)? If you were going to create "parallel compression" in Audacity, using a "normal" (downward) compressor, then you could do ...
