Re: Freeze when hitting the play/ pause / stop button
The slider is, however, not greyed out on maximum. When I click on it, a ToolTip pops up with the message "Input Volume: 1,0" Then it's not as intended by Audacity if you are selecting the pulse or default input in Device Toolbar. The tooltip should say "Unavailable, use system mixer...

Re: Plug-in not plugging in (RAR file w/winxp 32 bit)
I found an online site that opened the RAR and will try in Audacity ASAP. The site is free: http://b1.org/online# It may be simpler than installing their application but what they say about "no-one else can see your files" is doubtful. The site isn't HTTPS secure. And think of the bandwid...

Re: Saved and not exported :/
Thanks, but there has not been a Project menu since Audacity 1.2. Export is under the File menu.dsoe wrote:You want one single audio file, so with this project open, you can now do a "Project | Export" and that will give you what you want.

Re: Freeze when hitting the play/ pause / stop button
I watched tutorials on youtube, read some guides but always when I try to record with audacity the volume is very low. I set the input volume bar to maximum but it is still very low. Which input volume bar did you set to maximum? Assuming you are choosing pulse or default in Audacity's Device Toolb...

Re: Managing phono recordings
For example, while it is nice that Audacity prompts for artist, title, etc. when exporting to WAV, filling in these fields is virtually useless if one intends the ultimate format to be other than WAV, because Audacity does not transfer the tags upon export to mp3 or ogg. Clearly Audacity exports ta...

Since you are on Windows I moved this topic there.
All you need to do is launch Audacity, find your project in File > Recent Files and click that item in the list.

Re: No stereo, only mono
Windows probably thinks your USB soundcard is a mono USB microphone. Here is some information about configuring Windows for stereo. I couldn't see from your link how to make my computer change from microphone to soundcard. Could you give a link for that please. Overall, it has been very very diffic...

Re: Plug-in not plugging in (RAR file w/winxp 32 bit)
I think Audacity is a 32-bit application On Windows and Mac, yes. the plug-in needs to match the application even if you are running 64-bit Windows. Yes. Audacity on Windows will only see the 32-bit version of the plug-ins. I don't know if it supports VST3. Audacity does not support VST3. @Black Do...
