Re: Real Time Noise Removal/Suppresion
Vote counted for real time effects. But there "may" be progress on this in the coming months.

Re: 2.0.6-alpha-Jul 22 2014 - Doesn't load the FFMpeg Plug-I
I think that the 2.0.6 alpha needs different FFmpeg libraries, e.g. aformat55.dll. See the locate dialog title--under preferences/libraries/FFmpeg). They are not yet prepared/available for Audacity. Gale should know that precisely. yeah... i have the same idea but from preferences it's possible to ...

Re: Can't save project, paths in logfile weird
At 96000 Hz you can save about 6.2 hours per track as a project in 2.0.5. Four hours of 24-bit 96000 Hz FLAC export will be too large on Windows - the file size is limited to 2 GB so you will only get about 3 hours or less. I just noticed that it was cut off. I'm trying other formats to export to n...

Re: Unbalanced strereo channels
If Gale's suggestion doesn't work,* you can click the little drop-down arrow to the right of the waveform and select Split Stereo Track . Re: undo/redo history
You could perhaps save alternative mixes or effect attempts as a different project (File > Save Project As... ). Note this leaves you with the newly named project that you "saved as" open, its history including the states it had when it had its original name. The project with the original ...

Re: "installing" or opening
The number you give looks like a Checksum . A video file should not have WAV extension. Did you right-click Safely Remove Hardware in the system tray before you ejected the flash drive? If not the files may be corrupted. Have you tried simply renaming these files to WAV extension instead of DAT? Oth...

Re: Need to break long tracks into sections without losing f
The sections have to be CD tracks if you expect your CD player to jump from one to the other. But you can generally speaking make these tracks gapless, subject to the capabilities of your CD burner and CD player. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/burning_music_files_to_a_cd.html#gapless . Gale

Re: Advice wanted
If the Chirps actually are much louder than the rest of the recording, try Pop Mute or Brickwall Limiter .
