Re: can't import mp3 files from my computer to Audacity
I have windows 7, 64 and audacity 2.05. I downloaded it quite a while ago, so don't know if I did the exe or zipped version. I've recording some hypnosis tapes before while playing the music in the background. This time I decided to do the music on another track and combine the music and voice reco...

Re: Gverb vs Reverb
I miss Gverb. I prefer it to Reverb and I use older versions of Audacity just so I can create the right sound for my vocals using Gverb. I cannot find the right sound that I want using Reverb. I request for future versions to include both Gverb as well as Reverb to make Audacity complete. Is this p...

Re: NoiseRemoval.cpp
"Residual" is a bit like "Wet only" in Reverb isn't it It's very much like "Residual" in " Hard Limiter " in that it refers to the part of the signal that would be removed. OK but I think we'll have to find another term than "Residual". It's not (at...

Re: Blue Snowball Microphone barely picking up audio.
In your video at 0:26 it seems that the microphone volume slide is at or near 0. Check the properties for the microphone (in Windows mixer), maybe you simply need to turn it up there. Well spotted. Audacity should be able to turn up the input volume slider for Blue, but if not, right-click over the...
Re: File Type
You will have to look at the manual for the stereo system to see what type of disc it accepts. Are you sure it accepts DVD's? It would be much more likely to accept audio CD's only. Audio CD's are usually limited to maximum 74 minutes of audio. Once you have decided what type of disc it accepts, bur...

Re: Recording el.guitar via USB, no input sound
Yes but you got if for a "fell off the back of a lorry" price and you can see from the reviews that sometimes the first copy of it does not work. If you go to a reputable retailer and buy a mic to USB converter and it does not work, you can usually take it back to any branch of that retail...

Re: MP3/WAV Project burned to CD sound awful
I don't know what you mean by "pitchy" but you can't reliably remove reverberation from a recording. Occasionally Noise Removal can help with mitigating reverb.
Please post a sample of the pitchiness and another of the reverb. See How to post an audio sample .

Re: MISSING FILES/SILENCED AUDIO
I have silenced audio in some projects in which I retitled main folder heading names. Although I have changed folder names back to how they were I still have Audacity highlighting missing file structure and file in red. The files in question are where they should be and were never moved. What exact...

If you need something quickly before you go, then the electronics store may be your only option.
None of those mic to USB converters are large.
