Re: Audacity getting confused about compressed projects?
Audacity 2.0.3 Mac OS X 10.6.8 I've only recently discovered the option to Save Project As A Compressed Version... Audacity supplied by us doesn't have that (it's Save Compressed Copy of Project). If it really says what you quoted you have an unofficial version of Audacity and we can't help you wit...

Re: can hear MIDI but can't record it (reprise)
We don't make PulseAudio. These people do: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/li ... io-discuss . Let us know how you get on.
Check you are really pointing aplayer to the correct port.
Or you could try another MIDI player.

You should never use a hub for audio. Mice, keyboards and other peripherals are the only things that should be connected to computer USB hubs.Jakub wrote:through direct USB 2.0 port or sometimes a hub

Also XP is obsolete and unsupported by Microsoft so you are at continual risk from new viruses. Make sure at least that you have a good anti-virus program.

Re: "Error: Not well-formed" - Can't recover help!
When the line number of the error is very high it usually means the last line but one of the AUTOSAVE file is corrupted - it's just NULL's (empty spaces) and a duplicate </project> tag. The fix is to delete that entire line then you should have the correct syntax at the end - the last line but one i...

Re: Im looking for instructions for Wave Stat w/Aud 2.0 on
I'm new user of Audacity and need to locate comprehensive instruction or tutorial to begin using the ny.stat plugin I have downloaded to my Audacity 2.0 folder. Appreciate any help in locating the material. If you want a comprehensive tutorial you should write a comprehensive and clear question. If...

Re: Audio issues
Even watching normal videos online the audio is almost non-existent. I'm using headphones directly plugged into the Alesis. Have you tried turning the Alesis output up in Windows? What version of Windows are you using? If you are listening to applications like Audacity or a flash player, then on Wi...

Re: Echo on playback of imported files.
Is this a single MP3 in one track? If you are playing a duplicate of it underneath it could sound "phasey". Otherwise there aren't really any settings that will affect playback except "Audio to Buffer" in the Recording Preferences and the "Real-time Sample Rate Converter&quo...
Re: Editing
That didn't work. Wouldn't it show up in properties ? It states the type of file: File If you have put dots in the exported file name, don't, or if you need dots, add .flac at the end of the file name before you save the file in Audacity. Re: Does applying tempo effect nullify envelope effect?
Thanks, it is a known bug, mentioned in the Release Notes: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Relea ... d_Analysis (towards the bottom of that section).
Do Tracks > Mix and Render before the tempo effect.
