Re: Cannot Create Click Track (Re-Installed/Scanned Plugins)
This is so frustrating. I've been struggling with latency issues for about a year now. Saw that 2.0 was released, and installed hoping that would help. You said last year you had installed 2.0.3. I don't recommend going back to 2.0. Get the latest 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows...

Re: Allowing 'Compressed only' projects
IF Audacity has opened a compressed project by reading in its Ogg Vorbis files, then if no changes are made (apart from playing), jettison the PCM files without writing them out. Can't be done (without an option to directly play a file like a media player would). Deleting the PCM files would destro...

Re: Force stop without loosing data
So does the whole project look like a flat line? You could zoom out to check that. For whichever AU files are listed as missing in the log, you will have to put the AU files where Audacity expects them to be. For example, "e0001391.au" must be in the "d01" folder, and the "d...

Re: Error: Not well-formed(invalid token) Line 5858
I've fixed the end of the file for the line error. I assume the previously saved AUP file would open about 60% of your project. How long is that track in total? Be aware if you record over about 13.5 hours at 44100 Hz in 2.0.5 then the saved AUP file or the AUTOSAVE file will reopen the entire proje...

Re: Audacity getting confused about compressed projects?
The problem is when I open that project again. Whether I make any changes, or simply play the project, Audacity seems to ignore the fact that it's just opened a Compressed project (though I can see it physically open the 2 Ogg Vorbis tracks) - when I close it and go to the project data folder, I se...

Re: Audacity getting confused about compressed projects?
I am going to merge this into your Adding Features topic, or it will get too confusing. Audacity is inconsistent : FIRST time it lets you create a Compressed project without the PCM data. SECOND time it will open the project ok (which has no PCM data), but then goes and creates the PCM data without ...

Re: "Error: Not well-formed" - Can't recover help!
I honestly don't know what you're telling me to do. I loaded the file you sent and the first time it crashed audacity and the second time it was just an empty recording. No sound at all. I "fixed" the file using the method I gave, which cures the "not well formed" error. I just ...
