Running Audacity 2.0.5 on a Windows 7 64 Pro laptop. New weirdness just started happening tonight. After adjusting the amplification on a track (splitting to 2 tracks, amp'ing each track separately, then re-joining), then exporting, I get the usual "file exists, do you want to overwrite"?...

Re: looping click???

Re: help for a brand new user (?)
I've watched all the youtube videos. We don't make those - some of them are plain wrong, and some of them will have been made for versions of Audacity that are now obsolete. Any YouTube tutorials about Audacity that we have looked at and recommend for use with current Audacity will be listed here: ...

Re: To disable Metadata editing.
For existing music media: 1 - Media that has meta data already I use other brand because it retains all meta data including the album art. And the BIG plus is it does not re-encode again like Audacity does. I completely agree with you. :) Even if Audacity retained album art and lyrics you should st...

Re: Audio Selection Sequencer 2 does not appear
Click the green Play button to play audio. Press the yellow Stop button before using the effect. We are not responsible for tutorials written by others, but on Windows you won't see Plug-ins in groups of 15. Just try selecting the name of the effect, after pressing the Stop button. Re: Pops and clicks in playback during editiing
In case any of these clicks are permanent or some players produce the clicks and some don't, please be aware of the following good editing practices: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_editing.html#clicks . Definitely Normalize the file with DC offset removal on, before editing it. Other than ...

Re: natural echo created, how to remove?
Very likely it let you unmute the microphone in the playback section of the Windows sound panels.cblue456 wrote:I never had any delay when I had the desktop computer. Can you explain that?
If so you get hardware playthrough with no latency, just like if you monitor in a mixer or USB interface.
