Re: Macbook Air, not pro, crashes on import mp3
Thanks for the report. Please read the pink panel at the top of the page about giving your full Audacity version number. If you have Audacity version 2.0.4, that version crashed frequently when importing files. Make sure you have Audacity 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . If Audacity...

Re: enregistrer dans Audacity la sortie de Hydrogen?
Audacity cannot record from JACK on Windows unless you compile Audacity from source code and enable JACK support by defining the JACKSDK_DIR environment variable to point to the JACK installation directory. There is no need for any of that. Play your song in Hydrogen then record the computer playbac...

Re: Gaps in recovered project
The Crash Recovery code has not changed since 2.0.2 but is much better than Koz paints it to be, in my opinion. Koz is correct that there have been some crash fixes since 2.0.2. Any crash could delete some of the audio data "block files", in which case there could be sections of silence in...

Re: Trouble installing a plug-in for pseudo-stereo
Try How do I install plug-ins on Linux? .
".audacity-files/plug-ins" is probably the best place to put Nyquist plug-ins. Then the plug-ins you added don't risk being overwritten if you update your repository version of Audacity.

Re: import and edit files from itunes
Click OK and OK. Select the file to be converted, then right-click and choose "Create WAV version". (I DO NOT SEE THIS OPTION IN ITUNES OR WINDOWS FILE VIEWER) In the iTunes Library window (in iTunes), hover the computer mouse over the file that you want to convert to WAV. Push the right-...

Re: Compressed Audacity Files
I have two files that I have downloaded for work, I do not have the original recordings or audacity projects. They are both .aup files and will upload as a project into Audacity 2.0.3 if I import them using their raw data files. Do you mean that you import the AU files from the _data folder for tho...

Re: Records fine, but went grey
I am running Audactiy 2014 (2.0) There is no such thing made by us. Audacity 2.0 was released in 2012. We will only offer support for official 2.0.x versions of Audacity here, so I suggest you uninstall the Audacity version you have then install 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ....

Re: Help!!! Can't install Gsnap
Audacity does not author or validate YouTube videos which may be plain wrong (or as in this case, wrong because they missed out installation steps). Audacity does author a Manual, which I suggest you look at: FAQ: How do I install VST plug-ins? . So as you have now learned, the step missing from the...
