Re: Pops and clicks in playback during editing
The Soundcloud recording was terrible. I don't believe all those bangs were due to editing. Please refer to an exact point in time on that sound file that you think is a click that Audacity permanently added. I tried to reproduce the static cracks, using the same original audio file. In this case I ...

Re: Compiling Audacity with ASIO support, Windows 7
Hi Markho Almost no users read the Forum regularly and probably won't be following their topic after several months. ;) Windows XP Please be careful with Windows XP. Microsoft are no longer officially supporting it, so it will be unpatched against any new security vulnerabilities that appear. Make ...

Re: WINDOWS 7 AND TASCAM US-366
See if there is anything in this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=80146 . Make sure you have the correct Tascam drivers, and read the Tascam Manual. Make sure the Tascam control panel is set to stereo mix. Say more about exactly what inputs you are connecting to Tascam a...

For metadata on CD you have to use CD-Text . Your CD burning software, CD burner and CD player will all have to support it.

Re: Pops and clicks in playback during editing
I tried another option I thought of earlier: exporting all the audio, and then importing it into a new project. That fixed the problem of the cracks, but now, of course I have only one track left and I need to make the cuts all over again. Fact is, in some way an Audacity project can go corrupt. I ...

Re: 2.0.5 Windows Recording Issue
We obtain our sound via microphone jack. I know that probably not recommended but it hooked to an output on our Yamaha sound board. You are correct it is not recommended ;) Fortunately it seems your mic input on the computer is a "compatible" input that can cope with higher level input th...

Re: 2.0.5 Windows Recording Issue
Thanks for the video which shows the issue clearly. The recording is being deleted (or cannot be written) while you are trying to make the recording. You will need to follow the instructions I already gave you to turn off Norton (or whatever cleanup application you are using) and/or set the Audacity...

Re: ezcap super usb cassette capture tape player
The laptop computer using Windows8:1 will not recognize the cassette player, it says that it is unrecognized and has malfunctioned, please try and connect again. As Doug explained that is not an Audacity problem. It is a problem with the cassette device. You can try another USB cable. Try everythin...
