Re: Right mouse button menus
The status bar message in 2.0.5 is Click to vertically zoom in. Shift-click to zoom out. Drag to specify a zoom region. It was an incomplete description in 2.0.5, not mentioning the right click behavior (without shift), and it is unchanged in 2.0.6. I suppose "shift-click to zoom out" mig...

Re: Must uplug mike, then plug it back in to make a recordin
What might be happening is that Windows is selecting something else as the default recording source, but then it switches when you "actively" plug-in a mic. You can select your default recording device via the Windows Control Panel, but it might "permanently" revert to something...

Re: WINDOWS 7 AND TASCAM US-366
Hi Gale, thanx for reply (and sorry for my delay). I'm using LINE 3 and 4 (actually it's the only way to see some sound on the panel! I see two different sounds, right and left, on Analog 3 and Analog 4 on the device panel). The drivers are the latest ones.... and I switched on stereo mix. The conn...

Re: User Control Option to Subscribe to Threads One Starts
The group permissions for using signatures is set to "never". That will override the permissions set for an individual user. That figures. I recalled that the signatures permission for the group was on "no", so possibly allowing a "yes" to override. Given the amount of...

Re: Must uplug mike, then plug it back in to make a recordin
- with my stereo mike (inexpensive, made in China, no-name) plugged in, I click the record button, and get no input - if I unplug the mike and then plug it back in, while record is running, then I get input What should I do? Spend some money on the mic? Can you borrow someone else's mic to test the...

Re: split/combine stereo
I would like to 1) split a stereo track into two mono tracks; 2)combine two mono tracks into a stereo track. I thought I might find those options in the Tracks menu but could not find them. I DO NOT want to "combine" a stereo track into a mixed mono; in effect, what I need to do is edit t...

Re: Right mouse button menus
Gale, I just learned another thing! Shift and right click in the vertical ruler of a wave track, in any one of the view types, jumps to maximum zoom out. But the status bar message doesn't mention it, and I just learned it by reading code. I wish I had known it sooner! Paul, I added SHIFT + right-c...

Re: User Control Option to Subscribe to Threads One Starts
I've looked at User Control Panel and found the options for subscribing but I did not find one for automatically subscribing to threads in which one has posted. Is there a way to have the forum automatically subscribe me to any threads I start or respond to? If so, please point me to it. Click the ...

Re: Is There a SEARCH Function for the Manual?
Is there any possibility that I have a corrupted copy of Audacity? If I un-install it and download a fresh copy, will I have to go back and install the LAME and other add-ins? I don't know if anyone ever directly addressed this They didn't, so thanks for picking up on that. I agree it may be less c...
