Re: Audicity won't pic up my mic.

Windows recognizes it, it shows up on Control Panel > Sound > Recording > and it's checked. The light is on and it works on programs like Camstasia, ect. I set it to mono as you suggested and it didn't resolve any problems. Please read the pink panel at the top of this page and give us the missing ...

Re: Easy way to add silence??

I'm sure this question has been asked before. There is a search box top right if you think the question has been asked before. I'm looking for an easy way to add time to the "pauses" in recorded speech. Really what I need is the opposite of the Truncate Silence effect. I would like to add...

Re: Church choir effect

Hi I'm looking for a choir effect but all I found is "robotic" choir effects for guittars. What I'm looking for is a way to make my singing voice sound like it's a choir singing (like in churches). It's known as "Chorus" effect. Audacity does not have a built-in Chorus effect, b...

Re: Recording cursor sticks when I use Audiobox USB

Try WIN + X and Shut Down. Don't use the Power button or Shut Down from the Charms Bar as that is not a full shut down.

If that does not help, choose 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz Project Rate bottom left of Audacity.

Try a different Audio Host in Audacity's Device Toolbar.

Re: Dragging/Nudging pasted selections along the timeline

Time Shift Tool only drags the entire track if it has not been split into separate clips. So to solve the problem, make the selection then CTRL + I (as in "eye") to "split" the selection into a separate clip. See: Audio Tracks and Clips - Audacity Manual . Also see "Editing ...

Re: Does not recognize wav files

If the file is corrupt or is not really a WAV then Audacity may not be able to open it. Please either post the file somewhere we can look at it, like: https://www.dropbox.com/ http://www.dropsend.com/ http://www.mailbigfile.com/ http://www.sendspace.com . Or, download "MediaInfo" from http...

Re: TIMESTAMP 11 OVERDUB TRACKS

There is no option to export the leading white space, but we will add your vote for that. Meantime if the beat does not start at time zero you will have to generate some silence starting at time zero in those tracks.

Re: How many time Audacity should take to startup?

Machines with hybrid drives (magnetic and SSD) won't necessarily be as fast as SSD only. When Audacity launches it looks for and loads FFmpeg (if found) and queries all your sound devices under the different audio hosts. It isn't quick. If you double-click "audacity.exe" when Audacity is a...

Did anyone see this? The post above. I usually get an email after an hour or so. In case you did not notice - this is the Audacity Forum. We do not give support for products made by Apple. Try https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3792 . Make sure in iTunes Preferences that you are actually displa...
