Re: Scrubbing
I see no need to mention all the methods of faux scrubbing directly on the Feature Requests page. Gale Yes, but clicking to reposition is mentioned here as if it were a missing feature when in fact it exists. So, the description of the desirable new feature should be shorter. OK, I tweaked the text...

Re: mic problems
my gigaware 4300504 mic worked fine. I changed hard drives in my hp a1613w pc. now when I record voice all I hear is pops and distortion. I can import music into audacity and it sounds fine. The mic works in other computers' audacity 2.0.5. I have windows xp, audacity 2.0.5. I tried updating driver...

Re: Scrubbing
I was talking about scrubbing, or the lack of it, with some other users. From http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests#Highest-rated : Scrubbing: (68 votes) - one of: Basic functionality: Drag playback position left/right while playing (no effect until drop), or just click to skip to new ...

Re: Any way to record with Audacity and a usb dac
I want to record the digital stream to the pc then replay it from the usb to the dac. The instructions you have been given should allow you to record computer playback and listen to it on the "DAC". You cannot use stereo mix of the inbuilt sound card to record audio playing on a separate ...

Re: Looking for Temporary Files in Mac to Recover Lost Proje
As previously explained, unless you force quit Audacity or Audacity is actually still open with the project you were trying to recover, the correct audio data is gone now. If the recovered project is still open, the data was supposed to be in the temporary folder "/var/folders/5o/5o-kSieZEpi9Ch...

Re: Trying to combine .au from temp
Just make two new folders and copy three "d" folders to one folder and the other three "d" folders to the other folder. Recover the AU files from one new folder to a recovery WAV file (or two recovery WAV's if it was a stereo recording) then do the same for the second new folder...

Re: Any way to organize my effects list? Part 2
It's really annoying to have to click the little up/down arrows to slowly pore through the list. when the effects list is shown, pressing a letter key will jump to that part of the alphabetical effects list, e.g. press "V" on the keyboard to jump down to "vocoder" , rather than ...

Ces instructions seront incorrectes de Audacity 2.0.6 partir. Pour la version 2.0.6 ou plus tard, vous aurez besoin FFmpeg 2.2.2 à partir du site de téléchargement.

Also the height and extent of the light blue in the waves is a rough guide to how loud it will sound. The light blue is the average (rms) volume.

Re: IMPROVING ORCHESTRAL MIDI recording
Stereo mix will inevitably convert to analogue. I hope these computers with Windows XP do not go online. You are exposing yourself to great risk now Microsoft has stopped issuing security updates for XP. If you had Windows 7 or Windows 8 you could use the Windows WASAPI host and loopback input in Au...
