I have been using Audacity for several years and now find that when I playback any of my audacity files they are completely damaged. I have windows 7, Audacity 2.0.5 and have just tried to improve the situation by uninstalling the program and installing it again. Reinstalling Audacity does not chan...

Re: problems connecting my synth
my input is audio in/mic in combined, and i can select between the two on the computer. Has it ever worked? roland_dick said it worked if connecting from the headphones to the audio out/mic in (if that is what it is). Even if it does work, using a mic input will be prone to distortion and may be mo...

Re: How does one import a raw data file?
Oops! I forgot Audacity does not encode files when importing them and selected 32 bit float because it's the least likely to cause AV asynchrony when remuxing. I'll change that setting to "Signed 16 bit PCM." Attached is the log file, containing info from both MediInfo_v0.7.69 and LeeAudi...

Re: Problems while recording
I don't think that's the problem. Settings are right. And I can start recording without any problem, but then suddenly (without changing the settings) it doesn't work correct anymore. Go through all these tips here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#sync . The f...

If you are trying to use external speakers connected to the turntable, look at the manual for the turntable. If you don't hear sound in Windows Media Player, please see: http://manual.audacityte...

Re: How does one import a raw data file?
You are on Windows, so little endian is the obvious one to try first. Is the raw audio from the video really 32-bit float? It seems unlikely to me. Is it really LPCM? AC3 would be more common, but you can't import AC3 using Import Raw Audio. The "raw" designation may not mean the audio is ...

Re: Any way to record with Audacity and a usb dac
You can try SoundLeech from http://www.milosoftware.com/en/index.php?body=soundleech.php which is digital. If you open Windows Sounds and Audio Devices and select this "DAC" as the default device in "Sound Playback" then I think SoundLeech should capture sound from the DAC and s...
