Re: Recording from a website
I think before you actually try to record the audio while it's playing, which will cause a certain quality loss, you should check how the audio is actually embedded into the web-site. For example, if they embedded an MP3 or MIDI file via <bgsound> or <embed> tag, you should be able to simply downlo...

Re: Equalisation Question aboutAudacity 2.0.5 instalked from
Hi there, first post so if in the wrong section apologies and maybe mods can move. Have been watching a few youtube videos about Audacity and they suggested using the "Accoustic" curve on the Equalisation popup. In my version no "Accoustic" appears on the Select Curve dropdown i...

Re: I Need help opening a long audacity project (15 hours)
and here is the AUP file. FYI, when I first saved the project this file was a lot bigger became 1 kb in size when I tried to the project Does that mean when you tried to save the project? It seems when you did that you saved in Audacity 2.0.0 (an old version of Audacity) as only an empty track. So ...

Re: damaged playback
The only change that I made was in Edit >Preferences...I checked Software Play Through. Now Playback seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help and attention! Software Playthrough does not affect playback. It only operates during recording. What it does is to send a copy of the recording you ar...

Re: Inserting into a track
I find the Audacity Manual rather hard to use and the links are priceless. We still have to install a decent search for the online version of the Manual. Meantime you could try bookmarking this: http://is.gd/hN4BrR . Just replace "Device Toolbar" with whatever you are searching for. Gale

Re: I Need help opening a long audacity project (15 hours)
Using 2.0.6, please open the project then attach the AUP file and attach the log file from Help > Show Log... . Renaming the AU files while sorted by time will only help if you use the Audacity 1.2 Recovery Utility to create new WAV files from the data AND these AU files are a recording that was nev...

Re: MorphVOX error - extremely tinny voice?
Hmm. Is there anything to at least lessen the effect? I've tried speaking in female tones of voice, often with horrific results. Not going down that road again... One thing I don't understand is just why the program introduces these artifacts - and if I understood that, I might be able to fix or at...

Re: IMPROVING ORCHESTRAL MIDI recording
-------That´s correct, but I don´t know what it does. No distortion problems like before but a fair amount of background noise. Recording mixer: mono Mix. Recording device: Realtek AC97 Audio. It's clearly using the built-in Realtek device so as described, I don't think that is digital. Does Audaci...

Re: Mix and render problem: first channel gets over amplifie
I solved the issue by copying the contents of each channel manually, and creating a single channel. Thanks for getting back about the problem. So you mean, pasting each track end-to-end? I think there is a bug in Audacity... I can't reproduce a problem with three tracks as you described. Can you ma...
