Please be careful with Windows XP. Microsoft are no longer officially supporting it, so it will be unpatched against any new security vulnerabilities that appear. I set my device recording level at 99 Where exactly are you setting that? Are you choosing the interface as the input device in Device Toolbar ? Are you connecting the mic to the "left channel" input of the interface? In that case, Audacity may record at half-volume when recording in mono...

Use 2.0.6 for this, then it won't have the 13.5 hours limitation if you want to save the complete audio as a project in one track.
