Windows isn't recognising MOTU in the Windows Sound Control Panel. I've reinstalled the drivers but it doesn't seem to work. Have you rebooted the computer? Yes or more typically you would get small dropouts in the recording.

You may want to do a SMART check on your hard drive.

If you are using a network drive for your Audacity temporary folder, don't. Network drives are too slow.
