Re: adjudting sound levels for all .wav files
Your plug-in appears for me on Windows XP SP3. How exactly did you install it? I just set Audacity to rescan VST effects, dropped "DynamicAudioNormalizerVST.dll" in the Audacity "Plug-Ins" folder and restarted Audacity. Might you have used the file of the same name in the "...

Re: adjudting sound levels for all .wav files
By the way, I also tried your VST version in Audacity 2.0.6 on Windows XP but it did not show up in the Effect menu. Is it not compatible with XP? It is supposed to work under WinXP, if that is still relevant these days. XP is still relevant in market share. Your plug-in appears for me on Windows X...

Re: Recording audio when the headphone and mic jack are comb
I have a new laptop with windows 8. The headphone and mic jack are combined. I opened Audacity and selected line in. I have my computer set to stereo but all it does is record from the external mic. It does't record from what is connected to the computer. Do you mean it records from the built-in mi...

Re: export from the beginning of the track, to the end
No, it's harder now to export with leading white space, given Tracks > Mix and Render no longer converts that leading space to silence.kozikowski wrote:I thought we got rid of that problem in a recent version.

Re: Copy/Paste tracks between projects, losing quality
Actually, is the mere presence of a track that is 16000 Hz going to stop me from ever pasting something higher quality in? Answered in another way, if you set the project rate to 44100 Hz (even if it says 16000 Hz now) then you can add other tracks underneath at 44100 Hz and those tracks will have ...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
For the time being, I reverted to an older revision in order to keep the ASIO integration intacte. I have not tried to build with ASIO, but does it help to create a new environment variable for the ASIO SDK, or delete the old one and create a new one? Rebooting may help. I can only install VS 2012,...

Re: editing noisy MP3 tracks
Actually , the tracks are shrill , not so much as noisy.... I don't know how else to express this. For examples the violins come through shrieking and painfully so. That is the thing I wish to correct. Have you tried reducing the high frequencies? You can do that in Bass and Treble or Equalization ...

Re: Warning - Orphan Block File(s) Audacity 2.0.6
When I open my project to work again on it, a window <Warning - Orphan Block Files> pop. It explains <Project check of <Marie-Pierre-Sound-Project_data> folder found 46 orphan block files. These files are unused by this project, but might belong to other projects. They are doing no harm and are sma...

Re: Audacity stopped recording via Direct Sound after Win 8
I found a solution, though it is a bit weird. If I go into transport and enable software playthrough, then recording via WIDOWS DIRECT SOUND works ok. If it is not enabled (my original setting), then the record cursor just sits there. Once it is recording, I can then turn down my computer speaker v...
