Re: USB Headset Mic Interference

Ok, I've recorded the same test of air hitting the mic at 44100 Hz without the pinging noise. Finally. This is partly my fault. I've been trying different settings a lot to troubleshoot this when I don't understand what they do. When I was trying out the different Hz settings I would hear beeping o...

Re: USB Headset Mic Interference

Ok, I am totally at a loss here. If I record myself fanning air at the mic with Audacity there is a short high pitched ping each time the air hits the mic. If I record the exact same thing with OBS, the ping is not there. If I download the last sample I posted and play it with Windows Media Player,...

Re: Automate open/export

I am using Audacity 2.0.4 on Windows 7. That is obsolete now: http://audacityteam.org/download/ . I have over a thousand mp3 files that I need to be able to stream down to my new iPhone app. I found that 95% of these files will not stream successfully, though they play just fine in browsers and on ...

Re: I've done something stupid

I copied a bit of audio to add it to another track but ended up replacing the entire track. How did you do that? Was it because you double-clicked in the track you were pasting into, so you selected all of it? In that case the selection is replaced, so what you wanted to do was single-click where y...

Re: recorded files

the problem seems resolved choosing the following settings: http://postimg.org/image/xum83jr27/ the audio is good now! only a doubt: before exporting the file as mp3, I become a warning message : "the audio tracks will be united into a single track", http://postimg.org/image/grpsg9bs1/ an...

Re: Recording recovery fail

As above I am running 1.2 I have double checked also it is 100% just 262 files needed to recover and it says there are 262 files needed for recovery I have clicked to recover in stereo and it still errors this is so frustrating its unbelievable considering I have still got to try and piece together...

Re: Exporting behavior

When exporting a file that has already been saved... Have an export behavior to choose to not multiply files i.e. just replace without keeping previous file. There already is that, if I am guessing that the problem is -old files for WAV or AIFF. Just set the Import / Export Preferences to "Mak...

Re: Metatags no longer showing

It's a long-standing FFmpeg bug, though it is possible it varies with FFmpeg version. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.0.6#ffmpeg . The only real workaround is to export as WAV and convert to AAC in iTunes . If you put a forward slash in a label that will (or should) always caus...

Re: recorded files

Until you save an Audacity project or export, the audio data is in Audacity's temporary folder. Edit > Preferences... then look in "Directories" to see where that folder is. I exported now. but why the results are very bad? low volume and effect as I were in a central station (*astonished*...

Re: USB Headset Mic Interference

Have you actually tried turning off OBS, then recording, just to see what happens?

If the problem of hopelessly low signal to noise ratio goes away, then you should be asking on https://obsproject.com/forum/ if your setup is correct, or using different software.
