Re: First 17 minutes of recording disappears
Twice now I have recorded about one hour of just speaking audio and the first 17-20 minutes spontaneously disappears. Currently I have 1:03.00 recording; the first 17 minutes is gone. I witnessed the wave as it was recording. To complicate this matter, I now cannot save this file... although I am h...

Re: Auto Duck?
Presumptuous question - does someone accumulate these answers and, as appropriate, use them in editing the manual/help? Yes, time permitting. But I don't regard http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/auto_duck.html as highly unclear if you follow the steps in "Preparation". If you put too m...

Re: Task Scheduler no longer talks to Audacity
Upon further testing what I am seeing is that if the last time I closed Audacity it was maximized to full screen then starting it via the Task Scheduler causes it to fail to become active/in focus. However, if the last time I closed Audacity it was not full screen then everything works just fine. F...

Re: Can't Get ffmpeg and Lame recognised by Audacity
If you downloaded FFmpeg 2.2.2 from the link on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown , that version of FFmpeg requires Audacity 2.0.6. If that's the problem, then the best solution is to upgrade to the latest 2.0.6 from http://audacityteam.org/download/ . Wh...

Re: USB Headset Mic Interference
I do agree with using the motherboard supplied drivers. I had been using the latest ones from them, though they hadn't updated them since I built the PC. If I hadn't started to suspect a settings, software, or driver issue I wouldn't have gone to the RealTek supplied ones. But, the noise I was hear...

Re: Lock pan and volume in tracks
When disabled, the sliders are neither functional or present in the Track Control Panel. I would keep them present when disabled because they can be non-zero and disabled. Also, if present and disabled a keyboard shortcut can still access the dialog to affect the value. I agree (if we want this at ...

Re: Feature request for Nyquist interface for schools
As another information point, are schools mostly using Windows or is Mac and Linux more prevalent now?
