I've no objection to having a "Track Info Panel" for the label track - more useful than saying nothing.
As a refinement, how about a separate count of number of region and point labels? That would give a warning if you have a miniscule region label which will mess up Export Multiple.

... if you don't have an AUP project file, you can recover the audio from the project's _data folder or Audacity's temporary folder by one of the manual or automatic methods below ... http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recovering_crashes_manually.html Just to add that given you were using that ob...

Re: Further clarification: splitting a recording into tracks
DAO keeps the burning laser running without it turning off between tracks and usually turns off the standard 2 second gap between tracks. DAO can sometimes be worth enabling even if you don't want gapless playback between tracks because it can avoid a click between the tracks that could possibly occ...

Re: generating 500hz tone at 1000 hz sample rate doesn't wor
If the Nyquist Advanced Generator does more than generate a single tone (so that e.g. it could create simple sequences), I would see more point to it. There are already people that use Audacity for editing instrument samples for use in samplers and sequencers. For example, there are a lot of refere...

Hi, Gale, I posted that reply twice with slightly different texts and the second one had two different pictures. I attached the picture of the back panel here again for your reference. Thank you. Thanks - yes your second reply was assumed to be a duplicate rather than substantially different so was...

Re: Lock pan and volume in tracks
You might still need a locking mechanism. I'm contesting the word "need". It seems that most of those that are in favour of a locking mechanism use Audacity with single track, or low track count projects. In such cases the "safe" clicking area for track selection is huge with th...

Re: generating 500hz tone at 1000 hz sample rate doesn't wor
There is no huge demand for new tones I'd say "there is little visible demand". There is also little "visible" demand for MIDI editing. About the only MIdI features we ever get asked for are recording and playback. That's because people that know what MIDI is, also know that Aud...

Re: Output Volume Slider
Yes, the output volume slider in the Mixer Toolbar. In the device toolbar, I tried to use the onboard speakers on the laptop, and to run it through my Audioquest Dragonfly and my Meridien Director DACs. The slider does not jump back to the begining and I get the same results through all three devic...
