Re: "Show Clipping" Options
I can see the sense in having the same algorithm form both the waveform red vertical lines and the meter clip indicators, but if that is the case then I think that it needs to be easily configurable (as per koz's suggestion). If the two are linked, then an obvious and convenient place for the optio...

Re: Audacity doesn't recover the last project after crash
pantallaAudacity.png Thank you but the problem was not having any button. And It wasn't possible to close the window. But now it's solved. I've deleted the AutoSave file and I can run Audacity normally. I've attached the the only window I got before deleting the AutoSave file. That's broken. And &q...

Re: Audacity cannot open Dolby Digital audio file.
I am using ffmpeg 2.4.2 version. I found that audacity doesn't like libavformat.so of that ffmpeg version. I managed to tell audacity to use ffmpeg 2.2.2 from blender package. That does not surprise me. Audacity 2.0.6 was fixed to support up to FFmpeg 2.2.x. Any later FFmpeg version could break sup...

Re: Error message: invalid token
Hi, Please read to the end of my reply before taking any actions, then hopefully you will have the best chance of solving this. I was able to fix the autosave file and remove the duplicate </project> with null spaces line. I recovered this file in Audacity, and saved a project file from this, there ...

Re: Recovering orphan files (AUP file saved is too short)
I'm glad to hear you have a copy of the recording. :) If you can't complete the editing in one Audacity session, I suggest you export a WAV before saving the project and quitting Audacity. WAV's are a single entity so won't disintegrate in the way a project file and data might. Obviously I can't gue...

Please make sure you told Media Player to burn an "audio CD" or "Music CD" and not a "Data CD".keithp59 wrote:After saving and exporting a wav file to win media player a burn results in a disc (Verbatim CD-R) that won't play in a BOSE CD player "Form unsupported

Re: CANNOT RECORD STREAMING AUDIO
Also, the reply you gave, metazip, was inadequate if the user cannot enable stereo mix even with updated drivers, as many users won't be able to do. To have included that information, with all the alternative solutions, would have quadrupled the length of your reply. Note that the user who we replie...

Re: Can the performance of Nyquist in Audacity be improved ?
I think you should discuss such things with Roger Dannenberg.Paul L wrote:Such things would be changes not to Audacity proper, but to the Nyquist project which it includes and has its official source repository somewhere else. I don't know how the team would feel about forking Nyquist.

All easily done as variations on what we have, if someone specifies. You still have not specified what your complaints are, given they are different from those of VI users. I gave my "solution", which is a portmanteau of the suggestions that have been made. Robert J.H. may have some usefu...

Re: HOW TO EXPORT (if possible) INTO AUP FORMAT
I have just found out that in Export Selection it also appears in the Options "Others uncompressed file" and you may select AU (Sun/Next) Is it also all right? I assume it should be since, if I am not wrong, AU was implemented by Sun It depends what you are trying to do. You said you want...
